C&C are releasing a new studio album later this year with the return of Josh Eppard on drums. They put a video up of an acoustic performance of a new song called Sentry The Defiant on their official YouTube channel a little over a week ago, which you can watch below, and download the audio on their official site. Is anyone else a fan of the band and excited for the new record? Post your thoughts below!

Haha I hear ya man. I'm hoping this is going to be a lot better than Year of the Black Rainbow.

I'll listen to their new record. In all honesty, I haven't been excited for a Coheed album since Good Apollo 2. Year of the Black Rainbow was good, but it was missing something.

I was a big fan of these guys during the Good Apollo/No World For Tomorrow period, but my interest has kind of waned. Year of the Black Rainbow wasn't a BAD album, but I didn't find any of the songs particularly memorable. Josh Eppard's return doesn't even come close to making up for the departure of Mic Todd - Chris Pennie was a fantastic drummer who did a great job of playing the band's older material that had been recorded with Josh, but Mic is one of those bass players that really can't be imitated.

I agree, I would rather have Chris Pennie over Eppard anyday.
