Sorry if there was one but I didn't find it, but yeah that might interest @Blake some people here CHVRCHES are fucking back!! with their 3rd and according to them their most pop, aggressive and vulnerable album to date, which called "Love is Dead" and set to release on May 25th. the tracklist was also revealed: Two singles are already released: The lead single "Get Out" which was ok because they could definitely do better imo And today the 2nd more mellow single "My Enemy" feat. Matt Berninger from The National.
Castiously optimistic after both the singles are weaker than most songs they have. I love Get Out but its still weaker than previous efforts and I do not like My Enemy at all. I'm still hyped of course but I hope the albums turns out as good as their first two!
Just pre-ordered a physical for the signed postcard, like last time. First physical for me this year. Hope I don't regret it
I'm so sad that I never signed up for the facebook messenger updates. Lauren spent the day yesterday talking to people through it. A missed opportunity to talk to my celebrity crush and my 2nd favorite band. Is there any word on a Target deluxe edition this time around like the last two albums? Ill probably buy the album at Target anyway but I'm still curious.
No, there's only the standard version so far, I hope for a deluxe editon this time as well. they always had amazing bonus tracks!
Really excited! Loving both singles so far. Get Out might be a little generic, but still... It's actually really catchy. Lauren's voice never ceases to amaze me.
Nope, they were Lauren sending them out. Or at least replying to people replies. Search Twitter and you can see what went down.
The beat is great overall, I just feel like it's too electronic. This song is better than My Enemy; I think, just not as viral as Get Out even after more than 10 spins. Anyway, I'm very curious for the album.
Oh this song is great! I love how heavy and in-your-face the production is, but still way too repetitive and predictable. probably will get bored of it after a while (just like the other singles, I hope not). still waiting for something that blows my mind (Down Side of Me or Science/Visions material).
As posted in another thread, I'm not a fam of the song snf I'm suddenly worried for this album. Get Out is the only single I have liked and its still way weaker than most songs from their first two albums. Hype is slowing down. Hope the other songs are better.
I'm loving the production so far, the synths on Get Out and Never Say Die are fucking huge and buzzing. But the choruses...it just always takes me a lot longer to learn to appreciate a chorus that relies on word repetition so much.
Same! the production is fantastic but the writing is totally weak compared to their previous stuff, especially their good written big and catchy chourses which was the main thing that got me into their music. I remember how I was blown away by the chorus of Recover when I heard it for the first time.
It is, I was just expecting something like Every Open Eye part 2 or something and it seems I'll not be getting it, at least with the same consistency level I found on EOE, no bad song on that album and on this one there are already some things I don't like in Never Say Die and My Enemy. The vocals are still great and that will be mostly why I'll go listen to this album.
