My parents usually hide our gifts in the trunk of their car so I usually find them by accident when I go to change a CD (since the CD changer's in the trunk). They haven't hid anything in there this year though but that might be because I'm actually driving now. I've only gotten caught one time but it was funny because the gift wasn't even mine to begin with (it was for my parents' friends' kids) but they gave me the gift since I found it which I thought was hilarious.

I know what I'm getting anyway, I just like unwrapping things and watching my dogs go crazy with the paper.

+ christmas = family time for me, not an excuse to get presents :p I wouldnt care if I didn't get presents at christmas, as long as I got to spend time with my family.

me and my brother used to help wrap presents...it was this big tradition thing where we would lock ourselves in his room with miles of wrapping paper and rolls of tape and permanent markers (for everyone's names, instead of tags-we have a big family) and my mom would give us presents and we would wrap them.

every year it ended up that we wrapped some of our own presents and she was lying about whose it was. it was really amusing actually. makes me want to go make peace with them this year so i can do that again. but it won't happen...

I always snoop for my Christmas presents. My parents usually hide them in their closet or under the bed. Those are like the most obvious places too. They should really look into better hiding places.

I used to go on a mass hunt for christmas presents, not anymore though. Mainly because I'm 19 & I don't want to look like Columbo on acid when searching my parents room.

Nah, I don't even bother because I don't really care.

The only time when I go searching around the house, is usually when my laptop or computer is taken away. :p

The one time I tried unwrapping part of a present, my sister saw and told my mom. It was a Playstion in 1997. How could I not look to see if I got it or not? That was the last time I did any snooping.

My mom does everything in her room, wrapping, hiding, you name it. Which is weird knowing that she leaves the door open when i'm all alone every day

Man, all these presents take away from the Christmas spirit. Know what? I think this would be a great idea if everybody in the first world caught on. So much fucking money goes to buying present and Christmas decorations, when people living in the third world are totally neglected.

I hope everybody who reads this considers it and tries to start a trend.

When buying someone any present, figure out how much half/25% (any percentage would be great anyway) the present costs, and donate that amount of money to charity.

Know what else would make a HUGE difference? If nobody bought wrapping paper and donated what they would have spent on wrapping paper to charity. People don't really give a shit about how something has been wrapped, just wrap it in newspaper. It's scary when you read statistics about how much people spend on wrapping paper.

i used to do that when i was a kid

but now i dont associate xmas with presents because its kinda shallow... i write really long letters to everyone i know/love about the year and my appreciation and whatnot..

also i hate having that fake reaction when opening presents..

My parents are unoriginal, they get the presents when we get the tree, and just put the presents under the tree  I've never really wanted to open them before Christmas morning, but more often than not, I'll look at the cards.
