Chester Going Under The Knife.

    Today, Linkin Park emcee Mike Shinoda commented on Chester's hospitalization since last Friday, according to NME.com. According to Shinoda, doctors have performed many tests, and have narrowed down the trouble spots to the upper stomach and lower abdomen. "They did an MRI. It’s not in his head, it’s not in his brain," he said. "They’ve tested everything and narrowed the area down to his lower abdomen they say that that’s a place where it’s hard to get a diagnosis by.". Mike added; "You know they can put cameras to check your stomach, they can check your lower areas, but that lower abdomen is a place where they can’t really send anything in there so they have to just do these scans and tests.". Mike also revealed that Chester will have to have surgery to repair his abdomen and stomach once the problems are found, and that he will be hospitalized for the rest of the month. "(The doctors) know they can get the thing that’s going on in his upper stomach handled in a couple of days, and that will require surgery. Then the thing below, they’ve got to figure that thing out, before they can do the other surgery so to cut a long story short, he’s definitely going to be in town for the rest of the month.".

    Mike also had something to say about people probing for information. "Hopefully we can all remind people that he’s not just the guy from Linkin Park - he’s a human being who’s really sick right now so he needs some privacy and family time."

    Geeze, this is really starting to get ugly real quick. I hope that Chester is able to get better soon. Best Wishes Chester!

    that is sooo sad. i hope he recooperates very quickly - he'll make it through all this though.

    People, people!

    Chester is going to be just fine! Worrying about the situation can only make it worse. Please, guys. Just think positive for Chester and he'll pull through just fine.

    I agree with Will. As much as I am concerned about Chester and regret that he's in such an uncomfortable situation, I am going to send out good thoughts and find comfort in knowing he's probably joking around with the guys in his perverted fashion. Before you know it, all this will be over, Chester will be back on stage like before and we'll probably forget this ever happened to him.

    This news is really saddening. Not only by the fact that LP will most likely cancel tour dates for at least a month, but also because Chester has gone through a lot over the past year. What did he do to deserve this; he was already sick for a long time during the writing of meteora. Poor guy, he is probably crushed. The chances of Chester making a solo album are limited now. I just hope he gets well soon. He deserves a speedy recovery

    He's been sick a lot this year with touring; he was sick at the show I saw him at, but he still kicked ass. Poor guy was probably just pushing himself too much. That update was just what I needed. I feel a little better now because I know what's going on. :)

    I feel bad for both Chester and his family... He's been having a rough year... But they know what they're doing and he'll be better in no time.

    lower abdomen and upper stomach pains. read the previous news report. there's no diagnosis yet.

    but, my mom guess that if he will have to surgery, his reconvalescence would takes more than just one month.. :mellow:

    Not really. You can have surgery, and be released that very day.

    When I got surgery I was released within a week after.
