"more up-tempo songs in the set" Boy am I gonna have a night when they play Toronto in August. This hype is unstoppable.
The things I liked most about that interview is Chester saying that there are 1-2 songs that are "softer" than the rest, and that there are some electronic heavy songs.
They still have to mix and master some songs right? I remember one interview saying that they are doing final recording sessions too. Hope all these interviews don't delay any final touches.
Yes, they do. Shinoda said in his recent Stanford conference chat that the album is still being mixed.
Based on how most deadlines work for mixing an album so it can be pressed Mike should still have a few weeks to mix, and these guys are seasoned pros so it will be done sooner than later I bet.
Some more news over here. According to this week's edition of Music Week (UK music biz magazine), LP is due to release a New Divide EP on April 14th via Warner Bros. Now this is a bit weird considering that was released way before, unless its a typo by the editors. Any thoughts?
The important thing is that it seems that they'll make their deadline and that the release will happen on schedule. A new release like that would have been announced through an official Linkin Park or Warner Bros. channel a long time ago.
I kind of like how Chester admitted the new experimental material was watering down the shows a bit (in terms of energy, not quality). Many of us agree with him saying ATS is arguably the best record they've written, but the album flows in a different pace than some of the other material (MTM too) and that showed during concerts. Let's see how the new ones blend into the set and how many of them will be added on.
They will release another song before May 24th for sure, or maybe the same day, i'm very sure about that.
Maybe so. Although I seem to remember the Linkin Park Studio Album collection coming out of nowhere. Its just weird cuz Music Week is usually a reputable source.
Made a snap decision yesterday and went all-in on a VIP ticket. Haven't figured out the flight from LA yet but can't wait to hear a few new songs in May. Wasn't sure we'd get more than one, but this just made my night.
Maybe it is a Typo, but they are releasing something on April 14. Most likely not a New Divide EP. EDIT: Wait, 2 Beyonce singles on the same day? Madness.
I think it would be crazy if there would be a EP for New Divide nów... unthinkable imo. But the release of 'something' (or anything) in only two days would be something! What else could it be?
Sorry if this is the millionth time this has been asked, but are we going to have a front page countdown for The Hunting Party at all? Thanks to whoever lets me know
Don't know about this but if anything is scheduled to release this month, it is the vinyl version of Collision Course which is being reissued on April 19.
