This is so cool! This means more new music from Chester! Also I'm happy for STP and Chester, this is a win situation for both
Not like Chester was bringing major input/music into Living Things/LP6 and even ATS..., lol. Still think that it's 2 more albums for LP and then they'll break up, I said this like a year ago Plus, we all know Chester doesn't really dig the music LP makes lately, he's always been the rockstar type, he just went along with everything. I don't think anyone can tell me that he'd rather do stuff like Until It Breaks or Lies Greed Misery instead of songs of the likes of Interstate Love Song.
Don't be ridiculous. Prior to Living Things' release Chester was raving in an interview about how much he liked Lies Greed Misery and how it was one of his favourites from the record. That and if Chester didn't like Until It Breaks due to Mike taking up the limelight, he really must have hated their nu-metal years when he and Mike shared the spotlight almost 50/50...
Not always. What you descirbed is actually called Hardcore Techno. This is various other types of hardcore music as well
This is awesome. I'll be getting the album if it comes out. I've always liked STP, but never actually got any of their music. "Out Of Time" is realllyyyyy good imo, so Ii'd love it if they do an album with him! .
@hybridsoldier1989 - Which might be better, considering the band's newborn 18 months between albums idea. It's a difference in how the album's gonna sound if they spend a year working on it, or if they spend a year and a half or more working on it, in my opinion. *Considering they make a 6 month break between releasing an album and starting work on a new one.
^^ Or this could bring a boom to Chester's creative juices and could really bring a huge spark to his contributions in Linkin Park. This is nothing but good for the band (LP). Chester's fronting a group he's idolized for more than 20 years, and is working with a band that totally reinvented the grunge genre and inspired many future artists. That can only help Chester's confidence as a songwriter. Hell, even if LP ends up carrying over a bit of an STP influence that can only be a good thing. STP are a fantastic band, and I am beyond excited that the lead singer of a band that helped me become the person I am today, is now fronting one of my favorite 90s rock bands ever. I will be first in line to see this when it comes to my town. I am happy, and I wish the other fans could be too. Let's not forgot what happened the last time Chester went off on a side project: when it came time for him to return and work on an LP album, Linkin Park came back with their most creative and diverse album ever.
Im surprised no one brough up Tom DeLonge with Angels and Airwaves and Blink-182. Im disappointed LPA
This thread is hilarious. Neither LP nor STP tour extensively anymore, and all Mike really needs Chester for is to come into the studio every so often and lay down some vocals. He's got plenty of time to run both bands. Corey Taylor does it.
