maybe he likes the lyrics more, cause until it's gone lyrics make me cringe, they couldn't write worse lyrics, unless its somewhere i belong part2
Even the lyrics in Irridescent...I like optimistic lyrics with a positive message, but not when it gets to the point of naïvety. Which is what that "let it go" part does to me, especially when it is repeated a billion times in the song lol . But yep, anyway, I'm stopping with the off-topic.
Until it's gone aint even Alternative Metal Lmao idk what it is, it sounds like should be on LT
its such a weak song for a "heavy" album, i hope its the only weak and soft song on the album.
I really enjoyed this video. They seem really proud and excited about this record, can't wait to hear some more!
#posivibes songs can be cringeworthy, but so can "dark" songs, and LP didn't do the worst job with "Iridescent". I think that the vocal performances are pretty good and I the lyrics in the verses
UIG isn't a weak song. If the song was on ATS or MTM, no one would say that. It's probably because of GATS, the constant usage of the word "heavy" and the previews of those 6 songs that make people feel UIG is a weak track.
Iridescent's music and lyrics went pretty well with the album which is what mattered, IMO.
I assume ALITS will be soft too.
I just feel like a "peace after the war" type of thing
GATS Makes UIG Look Weak....Just Saying !
pretty much this.
I really like UIG, for me it's better than almost everything on LT atleast.
At this point, I literally just skip trough Mike's parts in interviews (which unfortunately is most of the interview). Maybe he should let Chester speak more, at least he varies his answers a little...
Well, it could be that way, when i compare it to their other final songs (which isn't a indicator at all, for this record^^). They were all relatively soft compared to their other songs: Pushing Me Away, Numb, The Little Things Give You Away, The Messenger, Powerless.
I would be so much more hyped if they hadn't released Until It's Gone. Is Mike really saying that they paid attention to every detail in THAT song? A song that is lyrically worse than like half of Meteora? I hope that it's the exception.
Hmm Mike is saying the same thing each time, but I guess that's because he was the one with this vision and it's a very strong and consistent one he is trying to give out.
However... In this interview he mentions it being an article about Japanese culture that started this thinking, but in his Pigeons and Planes essay which started all this, he says it was a conversation with a girl from Japan. Hmmm....
please...stop the hate against UIG and its lyrics. Calm down and chill..
And why all the hate for until it's gone? That song has much better lyrics than guilty all the same and a lot of other LP songs?
"A fire needs a space to burn, a breath to build a glow...."
"I thought I kept you safe and sound, I thought I made you strong"
"Cause finding what you got sometimes, means finding it alone."
I thought the lyrics where thoughtful and powerful, although the chorus is very simple, it adds to the power of the song.
So, have you heard about how Until It's Gone is a very average song with a continued track record of bad lyrics?
Because it's a very average song with bad lyrics.
Hint: If you tell people on the internet not to talk about something, we're going to talk about it. Like when people tell me to stop saying Meteora is worse than the bubonic plague.
i kind of agree, i REALLY dislike UIG, but "A fire needs a space to burn, a breath to build a glow...." and "Cause finding what you got sometimes, means finding it alone" are far from bad, but the rest... and GATS is also very shitty lyrically, rakim's verse highlights it even more.
