I have a question about cell phones.
My parents are having an argument over whether leaving a cell phone on drains the battery life much more than if you turned the cell phone off.
It would seem logical that keeping the cell phone on would drain the battery life much more, but, from my knowledge, leaving the cell phone on doesn't seem to drain it much.
My mother went to Verizon, and they explained that it doesn't really matter if you leave it on, but my father, being an engineer, is still convinced that leaving the cell phone on drains the battery.

    Does anybody know the answer?

no...most cell phones today have great battery life. i have used 2 cell phones so far and both last all day long. i usually turn my cell phone on when I get up and turn it off before I got to bed, which is around midnight - 1 and the battery is still at full. but i think it also depends on how much you use it and what you use it for. going on the internet and such probably drains it. if you talk to a lot of people all day long can drain it as well. but most of the time the battery will last for a whole day, maybe even 2 days if you go from completely full to completely empty.

My cell phone never goes off. I put it on the charger every night when I go to bed and I never even have one bar on my battery drop.

Leaving the phone on barely does anything. It's fine to leave it on.
