I have countless hidden files in my pc that I have to view often. But the other day when I wanted to view them, they weren't opening! At the time of applying the "show hidden files" option it works but if I close that window and open it again its not enabled. It automatically goes to "don't view option hidden files" option. What could be the reason for this?

    Need serious help!

That's irrelevant, it's for the folder views, not the folder options. Not sure what's wrong exactly, but try restoring defaults then trying again.

It didn't work. But I google searched the problem and came across this site. The problem mentioned in this site is exactly what I'm facing. I followed the instructions but it still didn't work!

    -edit-

Think I got a virus problem. This is what NOD32 gives every 2 minutes.

Echh, it's got ahold of explorer. You can try doing a windows restore back to before the issues happened and then run a virus scan to see if it's good. Otherwise the best option would be to backup your stuff, and reformat.

^ Yeah they include those stuffs too . Invest a lotta time behind collecting the very best you know what I mean.

On another note, I've been looking into different sites for a while now and the symptoms that my pc is showing indicate that its affected by Ravmon virus. I'll try to follow the procedures to get rid of it but if it doesn't work out I guess I'll do what Neil suggested and reformat.

Oh, duh. No wonder why it's not obvious to fix. Bloody virus. :p

Tip for your hidden stuff in the future: TrueCrypt.
