I formatted my C Drive yesterday but when I restored all my drivers, I couldn't get the Sound Card Driver (PCI) to restore. I've tried to reinstall it using the motherboard's CD, but that didn't work either. Now my pc is stuck with no sound! Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.

If you took the drivers and put them on a CD, and that's how you're trying to reinstall them, the sound driver might not have copied right. However, if you're downloading from the site, and it's not working, try talking to customer service.

Nah I haven't put them in a CD. I made backups before formatting. And yeah I just hope the downloaded driver does the trick. Or else I have to reformat and install XP SP2, which will be a hassle.

    Try the manufacturer's website.

    No good man.

I have to reformat and install XP Service Pack 2. Apparently, my sound card doesn't support SP3.

    -edit-

Never mind. I fixed it all by myself (like always )
