CANCELLED: Feb 10th, 11th & 13th Shows in Washington, Uncasville & Cincinnati

    Cancelled Tour Dates:

    Feb 10, 2011 - Linkin Park     Washington, DC, USA, Verizon Center
    Feb 11, 2011 - Linkin Park Uncasville, CT, USA, Mohegan Sun
    Feb 13, 2011 - Linkin Park Cincinnati, OH, USA, U.S. Bank Arena

    Due to an unforeseen illness in lead singer Chester Bennington, Linkin Park have regrettably been forced to cancel three shows. The Washington, DC show on February 10, Uncasville, CT on the 11 and Cincinnati on February 13th.

    Washington Statement:
    "Linkin Park has been forced to cancel their February 10th show in Washington DC at the Verizon Center. Lead vocalist Chester Bennington is ill and under doctor's orders to refrain from performing. The band sincerely regrets this unavoidable cancellation and apologizes to fans for any disappointment caused. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase beginning February 11th."

    Uncasville Statement:
    Ticketmaster.com & venue Mohegan Sun have announced Linkin Park have cancelled the February 11th show in Uncasville, CT too. Mike Shinoda has also updated his blog regarding the two shows:

    "Hi guys, We are deeply disappointed that we’ve had to cancel our second show in a row. It’s been a long time since we’ve played in your town, and were excited for you to hear the new music and see the new production. As you know, it’s not often that we have to cancel a gig–Chester appreciates all the love you all have sent on the website, and we know that it will help him to bounce back soon.

    We know it’s not the same, but we’d like to give you a free audio download of any show from this tour. Below are instructions. If you purchased your tickets through linkinpark.com, check your email over the next few days for details on how you will receive your refund.

    Cincinnati Statement:
    "Hi guys,

    I wanted to write you a note and let you know that unfortunately we have to cancel our 3rd show in a row.     I can't even imagine if I were someone who was supposed to go :(.

    Hopefully they set up some makeup show in the spring!

    I almost bought tickets to this show on ebay last week. I ended up not doing it and I'm glad I did. I hope he gets well soon.

    Oh dear God. Chester, please get well soon. I'm going to my first Linkin Park concert (first concert in general) Sunday in Cincinnati and I'll be really disappointed if they have to cancel it.

    It basically feels like I just got hit in the nuts with that Super Mario hammer, especially considering what I had to go through to get home in time for this concert that is no longer happening.

    Bristow will get the PR date I'm sure.

    3rd arena tour in a row w/ a cancellation in the US because of Chaz.

    Not good. Seeing them Sunday in Cincy. Hope everything is good. Ugh :( Dropped some serious cash and made travel plans already....

    Aww hope Chester get's well! He's such a sweetie... Man his body hasn't been too nice to him. Poor guy. I would've been crushed if they cancelled Montreal... Didn't he say so himself that he gets around 2-4 hours of sleep a night? That really takes a toll on your body.

    feb 11 show

    Please chester i hope u get well very very soon! you guys inspired me to get into music and will be a fan til the day i die! I have tickets to the feb 11. show and have yet to see u live! it's been a 10 year wait for me. dont make it longer! right now im not liking my chances, i need a miracle :(
