Can someone tell me how to delete post's instead of editing them? Like when I make a thread and my question is answered, I would rather delete the thread then keep it open for no reason. :mike:

We (the staff) can trash your threads, but we usually only do that for the posts that go to extremes. Any thread that has no negative values usually won't be deleted, but you can delete posts of your own once you reach SuperMember status. Until then, only staff can delete your posts and or threads.

But why would you? It kind of defeats the purpose of posting on a message board if you just expect discussions to be deleted when you tire of it? To respect all rights to you as the creator, but on a message board, you create threads to open discussions, not "ask, get answer and close." :p

By the way, just because your question is answered doesn't mean others may not have an opinion on it--it's likely others will want to have their own imput, so again, it's a bit rude to just close a thread unless there is good reason to (getting out of hand or anything of that sort). If there is such things going on and we do not catch it, please notify us of them through a PM. If not, then just deal with it, I guess. Not every outcome of a thread will be to your liking but hey, that's life, no?

Also there is no point to close the thread if somebody else has the same question in the future.

And plus if you're asking a question, and someone already answers your question, someone else can reply with an alternate solution that may or may not be better than the original solution.....
