can anyone tell me where to find a good vob to avi converter?

    With Sony Vegas you can edit VOB files and save them as avi.

    I use AutoGK. Its a free software (Sony Vegas is not). Also, for all my other converting (audio and video) needs, I use SUPER, from eRightSoft. It can literally do any format to another, with other options like cropping the input video, changing the aspect ratio, video/audio bitrate, which encoder you wish to use for the selected output container. AutoGK and SUPER are both freeware.
