Cable is better. In order to have DSL you have to live within 1800 meters of your phone company, and the farther away you are from the company, the weaker the connection is. Also, cable is better because the connection is strong all the time and such and you don't have to live within a certain radius of your cable company. Plus cable is just faster, lol.
Cable by far. Although my old Cable modem sucked big time (whenver the AC went off there would be a power surge, causing the cable modem to temporarily stop working, and it stopped working every night around 10:07pm for good....) once my mom came to her senses and bought a new cable modem, everything seems to be going well ^^
DSL is a very broad term. There are so many different types of DSL, different speeds. DSL can be the fastest, but most expensive. Cable is the best way to go for people not familiar with broadband.
What are you talking about? DSL is slow. The fastest DSL can download files is 200kb/s and cable can download up to 5mb/s. Plus you have to be within a certain range of your phone company otherwise you can't get DSL. DSL is a pretty pointless way to use broadband. Cable is much stabler.
I can see that you didn't read what I just said... If you think DSL is faster than cable then you have problems. I used DSL once, and downloaded a file. It took 10 minutes. I went home and downloaded the same file on cable and it took about 45 seconds. Cable is also not "less reliable" because the only time cable is down is when there's a storm (and if the power goes out what good is having DSL?) or if they're repairing their services. Trust me, I researched DSL and cable for 2 months before I picked cable. You've got no idea what you're talking about.
I've experienced Cable and DSL and I can tell you ,through me, DSL is the way to go. Cable is only available in certain areas. Cable 1.3 is upload DSL 1.5 is upload DSL is faster.
That's uploading. It's downloading that most people get DSL or cable for. And cable is available everywhere where I live, it's DSL that's not. You must live within 1800 meters of your phone company to get DSL. What the hell part don't you get?
I've tried them both, and I think Cable is the best. But it depends on where you live, I find... Some of my friends that have DSL get a much better connection and more speed than some people I know that are hooked up on cable...But it might have to do with their computers' individual performance.

Other than that, DSL is better.

If you're like me and you use it for buisness and hardly download, DSL is better. You can not argue with that. DSL can be faster than cable at some times.
I use cable. I think Cable is better. I experience with DSL for like a month and it wasn't fast enough like cable. So I truly think cable is better. If you want to check your DSL or Cable speed. go to www.2wire.com and click on broadband meter to check ur speed.
