EnjoY!!
I added this under Hybrid Theory Tabs...I hope you don't mind, I gave you credit. (Yes I am aware some of our sections on this site are empty/unfinished or slightly incorrect...dont worry, we will fix that soon enough ).
Sorry to bump this up and double post, but I just figured out something while trying out the tab on my bass last night. Switch the D and the G around and you'll get the right tab, because it doesn't sound right at all if you play it out the way that fgt/10 wrote it out. It should read out like this: e|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|-13-----13---------15-----15------------------13-----------------15---------| D|-----13-----13-13-----13-----13-13-14-14-----14-14-13-13-----13-13|x5 A|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------| E|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Mods, feel free to merge the posts. Oh, and the tuning is still standard.
what are you talking about....watch live in texas and find out....why do you need to complicate things...play my tab with the song while watching the dvd with an amp and an electric guitar...man i think your guitar is outta tune cuz everyone else said it sounded fine
The only difference between a 6-string guitar and and a 4-string bass are two strings: the B and e strings. The electric and acoustic guitar have the E, A, D, G, B, and e strings. The bass only has E, A, D, and G. Those four strings on the bass have the exact same pitch as the same 4 strings on the electric guitar. As for your tab, I've tried it on my bass, and it didn't sound right at all. I also made sure my bass was in tune before I played it as well. Oh, and I've watched/listened to the By Myself intro several times to make sure that I was playing it right before I changed your tab around, and I was.
god its not for a friggin bass guitar its just for an electric and my tab is correct. you seem them playing the intro on bass NO thats what i thought
Oh, I would just like to add that I played my version of the tab on my friend's electric guitar, and it sounded just like it was played on Live in Texas. Oh, and to rub it in your face even further, no your tab is not correct. The problem with your tab, frgt10, is that you screwed up the first part of the intro. If you notice on the DVD, the first note that is played in the intro is on the G-string, 13th fret. Try playing that against the 13th fret of the D string. You'll notice that the sound of the 13th fret of the G string is higher than the other. If you didn't screw up on the first part of your tab, then it would have been fine. The rest was perfect.
