When I burn an MP3 CD using Nero or any other program the cd skips a lot in my MP3 compatible stereo and DVD player. My burner can burn DVD's fine, and the songs play without fail on my computer. Also, if I rewind and relisten to the part of the song that wouldn't work, it sometimes works again. The data is there and readable, so I don't know what is going on. My stereo could play MP3 CDs from the old burner, why not this one? I have a Sony lite-on burner and a JVC stereo. Thank you for any help in advance.

If you're burning @ 52x, try the next setting down. If that doesn't work, it could be because your cds are crappy quality. What brand are they?

I am burning a $x and 48x. I have tried on a Sony, CD-R and Memorex and TDK CD-RWs. Any ideas? As I said before, it plays fine on the computer and I've used different prgrams.

Hmm, I use Memorex and they work fine for me. Just putting that information in, I have no clue about how to help.

Well if you've tried different cd's and i doubt it's nero, then i can only guess that there must be something wrong with your burner?

It's a new burner though. It wil burn DVDs fine so it seems odd that MP3 CD's would kill it.

Perhaps your stereo is just too picky.

My Panasonic home stereo is supposed to play MP3s, but every time I try, they skip like crazy, rendering MP3 playback useless. I can take the MP3 CD that refuses to play in my home stereo, and stick it in my Pioneer stereo with MP3 playback in my car and it will play it back flawlessly.

Yeah, but I could play the files my pld burner burnt. Also, my DVD player can't play the files either.
