What are you talking about? Every single sound in the game comes from the song and they're all there when you listen to it.

Sounds like a song that would seem complete in transition with the rest of the songs of the album... but by itself..

Guitar is there.. but Linkin Park has always been a "rich in sound" type of band so to spot it you either need the actual CD single or a lossless copy of the song. Youtube does not justify it. But even then the guitar isn't absolutely super loud. It's more of a "layer" effect, the "videogame" beat is really the main instrument driving this song forward. It's not a bad song.. but compared to like something like The Catalyst, which isn't 100% "linkin park-ish", The Catalyst IMO is the better single. As much as I love that Mike is AGAIN rapping now (inner LP fan in me rejoice) Burn It Down is just too "quiet" and bland. Sounds like My December Reanimation splashed with What I've Done and New Divide.

Ill wait for the multitrack sometimes some sounds doesnt make the final cut
BID is a good single but i expected something more i mean lets go back with ATS the single selection was awfull except for the catalyst IMO
1 The catalyst 2 Blackout 3 BITS (with a better video) 4 when they come for me 5 iridescent .
Blackout and WTCFM as singles another 500 000 copies sold
Why, Blackout was voted (and won) the best song in FIFA 11
WTCFM is awesome is diferent is something that is not out there LP wants to sound fresh and new those 2 songs are fresh and new

    Burn it down =

In the end ---> Hybrid Theory
    +
    Somewhere I belong ---> Meteora
    +
What I've done ---> Minutes to Midnight
    +
The Catalyst ---> A thousand suns

The synth and nintendo type sound in this song makes it awesome. Really fun to sing along too.

I really wasn't a fan of the clip released prior to the song. Now that I've heard it in it's entirety I must say I'm a real fan of this song.

Why is alot of people saying this is too ''Poppy''. I mean yeah it's really catchy like any pop song, but that bass line would never make it in a pop song, neither would the vocals in the chorus IMO

Final verdict for me: 9/10. Better than any song on ATS. Definitely in the top 5 for my favorite LP songs. Oh and I think the song sounds better on iTunes than YouTube. It just seems to feels heavier.

Don't know if this is really 'news' but... Here's a KROQ interview with LP that was released today - http://kroq.radio.com/2012/04/16/li...oming-untitled-album-shinoda-shares-thoughts/

When asked who the single “Burn It Down” was about, Shinoda directed it back at the band saying “Kinda like what we do in pop culture, we build somebody up to be the next great thing then we like to destroy them at the end of the day. And, we’ve lived through that so I think there’s a lot of personal energy that went into the connection of that story.”

And yes, they are playing the everliving shit out of the song on KROQ. I've heard it four times today.
