Green Day will release the live DVD, Bullet In A Bible, on November 15 via Reprise Records. The live material is drawn from the band's June performances at the U.K.'s Milton Keynes National Bowl, during which it played to its largest-ever crowds in the country. Bullet In A Bible was directed by Samuel Bayer, who recently won two MTV Video Music Awards for his work on the Green Day clip "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." The DVD is rounded out by band interviews and backstage footage. The tracklisting for Bullet In A Bible is as follows: "American Idiot" "Jesus of Suburbia" "Holiday" "Are We the Waiting" "St. Jimmy" "Longview" "Hitchin' a Ride" "Brain Stew" "Basket Case" "King for a Day" / "Shout" "Wake Me Up When September Ends" "Minority" "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" I'm definitely buying this just to re-live the show that I went to back on September 7th. Green Day played more songs when I saw them though. Still, good tracklisting.
Damn...here's the setlists from the 2 Milton Keynes shows... Day 1: American Idiot Jesus Of Suburbia Holiday Are We The Waiting St. Jimmy Longview Hitchin' A Ride Brain Stew Jaded Knowledge (Operation Ivy cover) Basket Case She King For A Day Shout (Sister Act cover) Wake Me Up When September Ends Minority Maria Boulevard Of Broken Dreams We Are The Champions (Queen cover) Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) Day 2: American Idiot Jesus Of Suburbia Holiday Are We The Waiting St. Jimmy Longview Hitchin' A Ride Brain Stew Jaded Knowledge (Operation Ivy cover) Basket Case She King For A Day Shout (Sister Act cover) Wake Me Up When September Ends Minority Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Homecoming Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) Compare those to the setlist on the actual DVD...how can you have Brain Stew without Jaded?!?! Plus they cut out Knowledge, She, We Are the Champions, Maria, and Homecoming. They could've fit the full performance on one DVD and have room for all 3 of the alternate songs...
The day 1 setlist is what they played at the show I went to. Yeah, I am actually quite mad that they cut out those performances. Those were like the best highlights from the show. It's a shame that they're leaving their fans jipped. <_< I'll still buy it anyway.
I just can't believe they'd put in Brain Stew without Jaded...the other songs aren't as big a deal to me but jeeze...Brain Stew/Jaded is like practically one song to me, as I'm sure it is to everyone else. We already saw We Are the Champions at Live 8 and Homecoming was on VH1 Storytellers. Knowledge, Maria, and She aren't songs many people know anyway, so those I can live without.
