Very exciting to hear usually the most reserved member of the band getting pumped up about it.

They need to have Brad do more interviews. Not only do I know Brad isn't over-hyping the tracks (as he's typically very reserved and careful in his wording) but he's given the most solid and clear definition of the new sound that we've heard yet.

A few songs that are 6 minutes? Multiple guest spots? This album is going to be a MONSTER!

So cool to hear that this will be a guitar heavy/driven album. I personally have been listening to this band since 2000 and I've enjoyed every direction they've ever headed, and I'm glad it won't be the same type of older nu-metal guitar work ( not that I have anything against the nu-metal LP has made, it's just always nice to hear a different aspect to the band) but it will be great to hear soaring guitars without a bunch of effects or major distortion. Based on the guitars mentioned in the article that Brad used in the studio it seems that even if a lot of the album will defy convention, most of the album will have very in your face powerful guitar work by Brad, Mike and likely Chester as well. If what Brad said is true about the amount of solos then his career number of guitar solos is about to greatly increase, and that's really cool IMO.

I absolutely agree. He's just as great with words and overall speech as Mike, I also don't think we give Brad enough credit for his creativity, vision and clarity within the band.

Put another penny in the 'Visceral' jar! But really, this is great to hear. Brad's words are the ones I feel most comfortable believing.

The interview was tweeted (and hence approved -as I like to think so-) by the official LP twitter as well as Mike Shinoda. Let the rumours carry on!

I can't say I'm overly excited about the direction they are heading in; I'm not much of a fan of metal music or heavy guitar solos. I loved GATS when it came out and thought it was really fresh but it's lost it's luster to me already.

There are more interviews coming out about the album.... I wonder if an announcement is coming sooner or later for the title or release date.

I really like this interview and ofcourse the news.

It seems to me that the one thing about HT and MT that sometimes creeps up on me in a negative way all these years later is going to be omitted. I'm talking about the kind of simple guitarparts. It's a given that even these guys get better and better but I really love the hints of more complexity in the guitarplay for LP6.

Ah well... If I can bang my head to it will do haha
