Braces

anyone have or had braces before? What is it like? How long did you have them for?

 

I haven't but I might be getting them soon (hopefully not).

I'm gonna get braces when the rest of my teeth fall out ... I'm weird, cause I'm nearly 14 and I still have milk teeth. MWAHA.

 

I got braces when I was 11. That was in- and outside my mouth. And when I was 12 I got a different one that was only inside my mouth. I was 13 when they got out. I've had them for a year and a half.

 

nope, i never had them, but i am 16, and every time i go to the dentist he sighs and says, "did your father take you to the orthodontist yet?" (he's been saying this for 4 years so he should know the answer).

needless to say, it looks like i will be paying for my own braces when i move out.

 

Ive had braces...one too widen the gap at the back of my teeth..and one to pull my jaw foreward..

The jaw one was extremly uncomfortable.. it has this thing that drops down and sits behind your teeth.. Very awkward to eat with.. In the end I stopped wearing it because it was uncomfortable.

 

I had them for 4 years i think. I still have them, but thats just a plastic one that i have to wear at night. Which i havent done in 6 months lol

 

I should get some but only for the esthetic part of Orthodontie (sp?) so my parents don't want to pay so I don't care.

 

I had top braces for a little less than a year, it was only cosmetic orthodontia, and they really didn't bother me that much except when I first got them put on. They kind of hurt.

 

im getting mine off in 4 days. they were supposed to be taken out on the 3rd but my dad is stupid and changed it to the 11th because we were supposed to go to san diego but we didnt (i was gonna stay home anyway).

my teeth werent that bad, i just had to fix a curve and a slight overbite. it was only supposed to be 18 months but i got an extra 2 months because i havent been wearing my rubber bands.

 

I had braces for 2 years. I had to get 4 teeth pulled before I got them on because my mouth was too small to fit all them. My teeth were extremely crooked but I love them now. I got a retainer and I think I wore it for 1 month then I just stopped wearing it. My teeth haven't really shifted that much.

I hated those damn rubber bands. That was the only thing that really hurt.

 

Had them for about a year and a half.. Top n' Bottom ; they dont hurt at all , except for when you go back every month and get your ortho .. Never eat any hard stuff like candy or chips for about 2 days after you get your ortho ..

 

I've also got 4 teeth extracted. Now i only have the top one but then 2 or 3 months later i'm getting the lower. Mine are red and black..next, i'm getting yellow and black

 

Had them for 2 years and it was a b!tch. Got them off about 4 years ago I think..

 

I never got Braces, but I do have a filling.

 

the magnetic stuff on the fridge makes ur braces get stuck to them

Had 'em, done with 'em, glad to be rid of 'em...

When they're first put on, and when they're tightened a lot, it feels like a Mack truck went straight through your mouth. You're relegated to the world of soup for a week... :chemist:
