As of right now, there's not a whole lot of information out there, performance wise, of who is going to play. Some artists, just like every year, already confirmed they're playing in Manchester, TN this year, like Portugal. The Man, Merle Haggard and, if Wikipedia is to be believed, Hannah Montana Lots of rumors going around, though, that Dave Matthews will be confirmed tomorrow, and Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. The official "initial" line-up will be announced tomorrow sometime, so I (or someone else) will post it when it's released. Depending on who is announced, I might be laying down $200+ for a ticket this year, for the first time ever. Anyone else interested? or actually considering going this year?
sorry about the double post blah blah. so, they posted it early because TV on the Radio leaked the line-up on their MySpace. I'm fucking STOKED!!!!
Pretty good lineup. Not one I'm going to shell out that kind of money for on top of the gas it would take to get there, but if I were around there I would probably go. EDIT: Hopefully Lollapalooza's lineup is similar to this because I should be going to that this summer.
That's an amazing lineup purely on account of Bruce Springsteen, Jenny Lewis, NIN and the Beastie Boys. And then besides that you've got Coheed, Elvis Costello, Band Of Horses, Portugal. The Man, Raphael Saadiq... I'm pretty sure this will be even better than whichever of the festivals here ends up with the best lineup (Reading and Leeds as usual, I'm guessing).
The idea of Bruce Springsteen and Al Green playing at the same festival as The Beastie Boys and Down is almost too awesome to fathom. Very impressive.
Thats a pretty sick lineup! I love the huge range of artists (Bruce Springsteen to Beastie Boys to The Mars Volta)!? Too bad I probably won't be able to make it....
