Not too bad...it seems Minutes to Midnight is falling rather quickly though.

According to Wikipedia (though with no reference to the sales dates), the sales has fallen roughly by 400,000 in the United States by the 4th week in achieving as much sales as possible. Meteora sold 1.45 million albums in a month, while Minutes To Midnight is about 1 million. Still impressive, just a slight drop.

Very impressive, especially considering how bad records generally sell in this day and age.

Especially when keeping in mind the decline in actual record sales due to piracy and digital shopping.

Awesome acheivement to getthose numbers these days. Don't compare it to Meteora, compare it to the sales of other 2007 albums.

Minutes To Midnight is currently in #2 for the most album copies sold worldwide internationally excluding the United States (I could have sworn that Minutes To Midnight was over 3 million, but since it says less so I'm guessing it doesn't include US sales).

    Thus:

#1 Not Too Late - Norah Jones (3.7 million)
#2 Minutes To Midnight - Linkin Park (2.6 million)
#3 Best Damn Thing - Avril Lavigne (2.5 million)

Also a reminder; Linkin Park is doing extremely well. Avril Lavigne launched her new album a month earlier than Linkin Park; mean while Norah Jones released hers in late January this year meaning that she was ahead of time by 4 months. Therefore, Linkin Park roxx my soxx.

Already answered, 400,000 copies less than Meteora within a month of sales in the United States. Further research on Wikipedia (since I can't find the total sales using internet archives on LPA news) says that Meteora sold 3,210,000 copies. Minutes To Midnight should have enough time to reach to roughly 2 million or even 2.5 million and that would be really impressive considering its in the United States only.

According to Warner , Minutes to Midnight sold 2.7 million in the first week. So it has to be over 3 mill right now.

Congratz LP! This is the third consecutive time I have officially congratulated the guys on a job well done.

After a month, I am loving this album more and more. So going platinum already is a well-deserved achievement.

And glad to see What I've Done is doing well also. Rightfully so.
