Forget about melodies and catchy beats or riffs...what bands do you consider to be the best, lyrics wise?

For me, I love A Perfect Circle's lyrics and Death Cab for Cutie. I'll probably think of more later, but I wanna know what you guys think.

For me, I kinda separate the bands that I think are lyrically brilliant by generations, because lyrics that are great in one generation might not seem so great later. However, any bands I think are lyrically great in any generation, I generally find lyrically great today. I've got a few I can think of off the top of my head.

    Green Day
    The Beatles
    HIM
    Whitesnake
    Guns N Roses
    Queen

Overall though, I'd say that it's a tie between Queen and the Beatles.

Smashing Pumpkins (Mellon Collie ...) has the best lyrics I've ever heard. Some of it's very poetic.

I definitely agree with adding the Beatles to my list, though there are a lot of people that don't like them, I love their lyrics. I thought of a couple more:
    System of a Down
    Nine Inch Nails
Panic at the Disco....(A Fever You Can't Sweat Out)
    Tool
