Angels and Airwaves --- LOVE Ivoryline is pretty good Story of the Year's album is good Still waiting on A Thousand Suns, Anberlin's album, and the Jimmy Eat World album... all three out in September... gonna be one hell of a month for music Edit: Not digging the new A7X... I loved the self titled but this new stuff is lacking, maybe it'll grow on me
All I can throw into this is Year of the Black Rainbow by Coheed and Cambria. This has been a god awful year for music in my opinion. Even bands I love have put out disappointing albums. YOTBR is the only thing I can wholeheartedly put out there. Still hope for LP and the new A Day To Remember album though.
Oh wow, Ivoryline still exists?! I went to their release party for There Came a Lion back in the day. Good to hear that they're still making music.
Love Coheed to death but I just can't get into that new album... they'll never top In Keeping Secrets in my opinion

When all is said and done, 2010 will have given us new albums from Linkin Park, Jimmy Eat World, A7X, Coheed, A Day to Remember, Story of the Year, Senses Fail, Anberlin, Angels and Airwaves, Underoath???(i think), Taking Back Sunday???(i think), M.C.R.(i think), Hawthorne Heights, Emarosa, Sum 41, Serj Tankian(go back to SOAD), Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and a ton of great lesser-known bands (Valencia, Before Their Eyes, Conditions, Ivoryline, Secret and Whisper)... And expected in early 2011 are albums from Rise Against, Blink, and All Time Low (fuck off in advance, they're good). Talk about a great year for rock. And to add to that, Recovery is one of the best Rap albums I've ever heard. The only blemish on that album was letting that piece of trash Lil Wayne be featured on it. Relapse was pretty bad but I can't get enough of Recovery. Eminem's the only "popular" rapper I don't hate, and not only do I tolerate him but I love his music. I'd love to see him do a collaboration with Chester, just imagine Love The Way You Lie with Chester singing the chorus instead of Rihanna... that collaboration really needs to happen sometime, and with Chazzy apparently in the mood for being featured on other albums it just might. Oh and I didn't include Bullet For My Valentine even though I LOVE their older stuff because their new album was absolutely pathetic. I think I listened to it three times and haven't listened to it since other than maybe two songs. That album was laughably bad... the lead single (don't even remember the name of it) was so awful, they completely missed the mark.
Not really a great year for music so far. Though we still have a lot to look forward to. 01. Deftones - Diamond Eyes 02. Far - At Night We Live 03. Mastodon - Revenge Gets Ugly 04. Anathema - We're Here Because We're Here 05. Dead Letter Circus - This Is The Warning 06. Minus The Bear - Omni 07. Feeder - Renegades LOOKING FORWARD TO: 01. Stone Sour - Audio Secrecy (first two albums are absolute genius!) 02. Black Label Society - Order of the Black 03. Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier (really waiting for this one) 04. Disturbed - Asylum (meh, kind of...never really enjoyed them, but always checked out some of their stuff)
Disturbed's old stuff was great, I used to be really into them when I was in my first few years of high school but I shifted away from their style of music a few years ago. Ten Thousand Fists is a great album and I still listen to it from time to time, but Indestructible just bored me. The only good song on that album was the title track. I downloaded Asylum and it's pretty good, sounds like something off of 10000 Fists. I'll definitely check out their new stuff
I respect your opinion but it's one thing to hate Lil Wayne and another to be that ignorant. At least provide a reason why you didn't like his feature. I'd like to give credit where it's due. If Em didn't go so f'ing hard on his verse (arguably his best verse on the album IMO) the hype would be on Wayne. Listen to Drake's "Miss Me" and compare the to efforts given by Wayne. Personally, he made Drake's song a permanent skip on the album. Maybe the verses on "No Love" were over your head but whatever. Every hip hop track on YouTube has comments hating Wayne whether he's on it or not. Just a trendy thing right now. That said, I don't know if Recovery even makes Em's top 3. But it is one of the better releases of 2010!
Favorite albums two so far are 1) Eyes Set To Kills-Broken Frames 2) Eminem-Recovery Looking forward to Chiodos new UnderOath's new Pierce The Veil's new
PTV already came out I thought? And ADTR's new album I'm also really looking forward to... I hope they go back to their sound from And Their Name Was Treason... Homesick was good and had some really catchy songs but was just a bit too generic... their older stuff had so much more power and emotion to it
