Beastie Boys Plan Concert With LP and Outkast?

    According to a Kansas City Infozine report, the Beastie Boys are planning an Anti-Online Music Piracy concert with Linkin Park and Outkast. More details to come.

    Editorial note: This is unconfirmed by all bands and may be a joke. Sarcasm is hard to detect sometimes and this is one of those cases. With Linkin Park in studio recording a new album, this may just be a joke, especially since Linkin Park have portrayed themselves to be pro-downloading. Please do not consider this as confirmed, for this is a rumour as of now.

    The idea of the Beastie Boys and Linkin Park on the same stage is something I could have only dreamed about, so naturally it'd be exciting if it was true.

    However; at the same time (if this is true) it feels as if Linkin Park could be selling out by holding such a concert. This isn't going to go over well with their fans. :wth:

    I'm 90% sure it's a joke, simply because of Linkin Park's previous stance on pirating ("Download that ####!" - Mike). If it's not I will be seriously pissed though.

    Well, MIke did speak out against iTunes. And then there was the whole Meteora security thing.

    I thought rumors weren't supposed to posted as news. But a Beastie Boys and LP concert sounds like it might actually be true.

    I agree. All because LP are out of the public's eye right now because they are in the studio.

    This is just a concert. It's possible they could do a one night show.

    joke lol. i mean they are not gonna take time off in the studio to do a concert. havent yet.

    but i didnt get the vibe from that article that it was a against downloading concert.. maybe i missed something maybe its cuz i was tripping last night, but fill me in if im wrong.

    Is it just me, or did the whole story seem like a joke? Especially where they talk about the National Mall and the MCI Center in the first paragraph.
