Well in any case, it's not that easy to pull out. Even disregarding the logistical implications of bringing our men and women home, we went into an already fragile and destabilizing region and ripped it off its hinges, so to speak. Not to say we should stay, but we can't just up and leave now. In fact this is one of the few times in which pulling a Nixon-style pullout would actually be a good idea.
On this. I'm agreeing with enigma in that you're asking one man to try to fix 8 years of another man's mistakes in only 4. Although I will disagree on the college degree part. I got mine in less than 4.
Although most people don't. Did you do a bunch of AP credits or pile up the credit hours or something?
depends entirely on the degree. people in my major who finish their undergrad in 4 years are considered a combination of insane, lucky and typically aren't having side jobs or good grades. /nitpick. So, next years election. I think i'm only voting solely to keep nutjobs out of office. /attempt to be on topic
So the U.S. is going bankrupt on Tuesday. We'll lose our AAA credit status, the world will likely no longer allow the USD to be the borrowing standard of the world, and unemployment will rise into outer space. GG Republicans
I approve of Obama using the 14th amendment to get the debt ceiling raised. I know the 14th amendment doesn't EXACTLY allow that (therefore it calls for a twisting of the 'meaning'), and I'm aware Republicans are threatening to impeach Obama if he does it, but I'd rather have a president putting his presidency at risk to save his country, than a President who waits for a confused and corporation run Congress to make the solutions for him.
I agree but I would literally want him to wait until the last possible second to do that. Especially when it sounds like congress actually is getting close to a deal. I really hope it doesn't come to the 14th amendment because I don't want Michelle Bachman or some other nut job as our president.
