There's a ton of bands that sound like A Day to Remember. It's a very generic scene sound

Upper Class Trash has some moments that remind me of ADTR, but they aren't that great, and in all honesty, I've been searching for another band like adtr for a long time and can't really find one that even compares, but thats just me.

If you haven't heard ADTR's And their name was treason album, defiantly check that out. Other then that just check out random bands that label themselves or are labled as post-hardcore. I'll listen through my itunes and see what I can come up with.

    Edit:
(Yes there are tons of bands with the same elements of ADTR, but none of them sound quite like ADTR. Thats really just an opinion, but when everyone says adtr is so generic it annoys me because they can never present me with another band that sounds like adtr that actually is even close to as good. )

I disagree. The formula itself is generic, but I can't think of any bands that have the same sound as A Day to Remember.

Why would one want a band that sounds exactly the same as another? This confuses me.

There are a number of bands that sound similar to ADTR in my opinion, but since it is up to opinion, I know every band I name will get shot down and I'll get made fun of so I'm not going to try.

I actually won't make fun of you one bit. I'd really be interested in what you come up with to see if I like it.

As far as wanting a band that sounds "exactly" like another. I would either say you love a band but can't get enough of them and they are not recording anytime soon, or you just want another band similar as far as genre goes that doesn't suck. I find a lot of other bands listed in the same category as ADTR are not very good, at least to me, so when I look for bands that sound like ADTR, I am just looking for bands with a similar sound that are good, not the exact sound per say.

I will suggest Motionless In Light, I just found this band online and listened to a few songs on their myspace that sound pretty good and somewhat similar to ADTR, but I haven't listened a lot yet so I'll see.
