That's what makes them so great for me. :D

Before I say this, I have to state that I've lost friends over the following statement.

I don't get, nor can I stand Soundgarden, Audioslave, or anything Chris Cornell has done.

I'm sorry, but their new album Monoliths & Dimensions is FANTASTIC.

If I had to say a band though, it would probably be Fuck Buttons. I don't hate it, but it's quite strange.

    Nine Inch Nails.
    Nirvana.
    Slayer.
Led Zeppelin/Black Sabbath/Jimi Hendrix/The Beatles/The Rolling Stones/most of those "legendary" classic bands. I can respect them for the influence they've had, but I really don't think they're anything particularly good musically, lyrically, technically and such. More so the latter two.

I'm not joking about that first part either. I've lost friends over that statement, and I seriously don't get it.

None of that stuff has ever really sounded that great to me, I dunno why.

Everything except for Sabbath, Hendrix and The Beatles (maybe some Zep), I agree with.

Daniel's signature reminded me of another band.

    Trivium.

Goddamn, just stop making music. Please.

It varies by band, to be honest. I can listen to some STP (although there's plenty I'd pick over them), Mudhoney's not too bad, and the Screaming Trees are okay. Nirvana doesn't fall into grunge so much as punk, but that's one that I definitely listen to.

And STP are barely even grunge most of the time.
So maybe you just don't really like grunge, since Cornell is pretty much the personification of the genre. imo

Cornell is a money grubbing little whore.

    In my opinion.

    Scream wasn't poppy though.
Like I don't think he actually set out to write something he thought was mainstream.
Like really if all he wanted was money, he'd just spend the rest of his life playing Black Hole Sun.

Sun O))) is an awesome band. You people just aren't open to experimentation. And they're just one band - there's plenty from the noise genre. I suggest 5F-X, 5F_55, or Squarepusher.

If you want to hear a REALLY fucked up band, listen to Mr Bungle. :p

I am open to experimentation, and I already listen to Mr Bungle. Not anywhere near as much as when I used to bum everything Mike Patton has ever done but I digress.

Sunn O))) aren't noise. Neither are Squarepusher. I like Squarepusher, but Sunn O))) doesn't appeal to me.

I can't be fucked getting into noise. One Merzbow track was enough.

I don't like Symphonic metulz either. It's just power metal without the best part (guitar solos), with heaps of annoying strings.

To me most of it seems to just take all the lamest parts of other kinds of metal and emphasise them.
