It'll be interesting to see how M. Night deals with big action sequences. I love his directing style!

As a hardcore Avatar fan, I'm steeling myself for failure for the following 2 reasons:

    1) I can't put the casting issues aside. The people they chose for each role is embarrassing.

    2) I can't see how they could fit ALL OF BOOK ONE into one singular film. And as any Avatar fan knows, every single episode has important lore and history and characters that cannot be avoided (especially seeing as everyone comes back during Book Three with an equally important role).
    SPOILERS:

You'd have to somehow fit two Air Temples, the Kyoshi Warriors, King Bumi from Omashu, Haru the Earthbender, Aang's first trip into the Spirit World, Jet, crossing the canyon, Aang's flashback as to how he got in the iceberg in the first place, the Blue Spirit, Aang's "first" firebending teacher, the Northern Water Tribe (with waterbending storylines, Princess Yue love sidestory, and huge battle included) into one movie. And that's just the important stuff.

NOT TO MENTION split that time equally with storyline from Prince Zuko and Uncle Iroh. GOOD FUCKING LUCK.

On a side note, I just checked the Avatar wiki to see if I missed anything, and saw that 1) I didn't and 2) I just wrote everything in order from memory. WTF.

    END SPOILERS.

Yes well fitting 870 pages of a book into a 2 hour movie is more feasible than roughly 300 minutes/5 hours of lore and action and dialogue into a 2 hour movie.
