Linkin Park are set to play their third show of their Carnivores tour alongside co-headliners 30 Seconds To Mars and with AFI playing support tonight, August 12. The three bands are taking their Carnivores show to PNC Music Pavillion in Charlotte, North Carolina, following the first two dates played in West Palm Beach and Tampa in Florida. Linkin Park have played in Charlotte several times throughout their career, starting with two festival shows in 2001, and later bringing their own Projekt Revolution tour to the city three times - in 2004, 2007 and 2008, respectively. A proshot video of "Figure.09" being performed live from the Charlotte Projekt Revolution stop in 2004 was included as enhanced content on the fourth annual LP Underground fan-club CD that same year. While the Carnivores tour has only just gotten started, there have nonetheless already been a good number of surprises for fans. The opening date of the tour on August 8 revealed a new stage and a brand-new set but was hindered by apparent health issues suffered by Chester Bennington, causing a big delay for Linkin Park's set and, ultimately, a shortened version of their intended setlist that still included the live debuts of "The Hunting Party" standouts "Rebellion" and "Final Masquerade". The second show in Tampa on August 9 saw the band play that same setlist with no omissions. Whether or not tonight's show will use that same setlist or a brand-new remains to be seen. Following this stop, Linkin Park and the Carnivores tour will head to Bristow, VA, before hitting Camden, NJ. Will you be attending this show? Let us know on our message board! Man Figure 0.9 is such a sick song, they should bring it back at a concert I don't think it would sound any different then it did there either.
On the one hand, shortening all these songs lets you experience more songs in total, although incomplete. On the other hand, it seems like kind of an unspoken acknowledgment that people tend to only listen to Linkin Park for the giant choruses. Weird. Ultimately glad I decided against seeing them this time around.
They did a little mix of dirt off you shoulder in lying from you. Pretty awesome. Hope I got the live tweets right. I know I was a bit touchy here and there lol.
The show was awesome! I even caught Joe Hahn outside one of the concession stands and got him to sign my phone since I didn't have anything else lol.
Did you guys notice the little change Brad did with the solo in Until it's Gone during their West Palm Beach show? It was actually pretty sick. Listen from 3:50

28 song set? Impressive. Sure some of the songs were cut short and were merely intros, but it's still a big setlist.
I really hope they regularly swap the Meteora songs with stuff like "Breaking the Habit" and the other THP songs. I've given up hope for the remaining LT songs.
Got back home from the show. It was awesome. I'm glad I was there for the new setlist debut. Overall the set has some highs and lows. I'll keep saying that the shortened songs idea makes zero sense, and that crap like Joe Solo (yeah, cool effects and stuff but I'd rather have a song there) and the Castle of Glass version they play should be removed. Also, too many singles and the song election/order for the encore can be vastly improved. Other than that, I have to say that I had a lot of fun and that the band played flawlessly, except for a few mistakes by Brad and Joe. DOYS/LFY was a nice surprise. People were loud as hell from beginning to end and Chester was on fire. Man, he's from another planet.
