With GATS i was think this album would be so much raw, without effects and all the awesome layers we heard in ATS. But UIG, Wastelands and now Rebellion changed my mind. This is the HEAVY A Thousand Suns
Man the SOAD influence, the eastern vibe not only in the music but on Mike's delivery, gorgeous melodies. Just imagine Mike singing that low "Rebellioooooooon" with Serj doing a high pitched loud "Rebellioooon" over it in harmony. Chester great in this song, everyone killed it. Rob was fucking sick.
Agree 100%. THIS SONG IS FUCKING AWESOME. FUCK!!!! When Mike and Chester sing the second chorus FUCK!!!! AND THE LAST CHORUS!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST FUCKING CAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heard the rest of the album have you? The doubt that people always seem to have about this band is always mystifying.
No, I heard other three songs that aren't anything special guitar wise and I've watched Brad fail at playing them live repeatedly. I just know it won't be as good as this.
Does anyone else think this song is mixed really fucking loud? Great song btw, this and GATS are killer. Wastelands and UIG are nothing new and exciting imo.
Been really impressed with all the songs released so far - particularly enjoying the vocal processing, or lack of rather, which makes it seem like this album will translate easy to a love situation. The song is awesome, but not sure if the chorus hit hard enough, will probably sound better live - also, would've been great with a Mike APFMH styled verse (but in my opinion, most songs would be great with more Mike rapping). But seriously what is up with the mixing in the songs so far? Perhaps youtube, perhaps MP3, Will wait for the CD to arrive before I pass judgement, but from what I've heard, there's just a lot of space not being used
Alright, I'm gonna play debbie downer here. That was terrible. That could quite possibly be the first song from the band that I can say I actively dislike it. Rob is the one guy here doing anything good. Total trainwreck.
I know some people are impressed by the bridge, but to me it just sounded a little.. forced? Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to complain, just the way it seems for me personally after giving it a few more listens. Still love the instrumentation, the lyricism, and the harmonies and dat Mike
First play: What is this? This sounds not like the Linkin Park i know.. :-/ Plays after that: Reeebeeeliiiooon.... It's growing on me so fast. From all four released THP tracks, this one went to first place. Rebellion, Wastelands, Guilty All The Same then Until It's Gone for me. The hype is on max level now. The Hunting Party cannot come soon enough...
Damn, this intro .. damn, this song... I LOVE IT ALREADY HOLY CRAP. Daron Malakian, Mike singing, my fucking god. Wow.
