As suggested by the tweet sent out by BBC 1 Radio host Zane Lowe earlier today, "Rebellion" premiered on his show at 8:30 PM BST. The 8th track off of Linkin Park's upcoming new album, The Hunting Party, was played on the radio for the first time ever and features System of a Down's Daron Malakian. The track is expected to make its way onto YouTube soon after. Chester Bennington, who served as a guest on Zane Lowe's radio show, introduced the song and answered questions from fans before and afterward. Before playing the entirety of the track, Zane interrupted to comment on the "System of a Down"-esque sound of the track and ask about its composition. Fans suspected the new song would be "Rebellion" after the track appeared on iTunes Russia earlier today as well. The song has now premiered on the band's Facebook page and on their YouTube Channel with an accompanying lyrics video. See below! For those of you who were able to catch the premiere and have listened to the song since, what do you think of the new song? Discuss it here on our forums!
The bridge is good but the lyrics on it aren't good. Other than that, this song is amazing! Can't wait to hear Mike sing this live.
Music didn't make me happy like this in a long time. I'm crying with a huge smile on my face I look so fucking dumb but I don't care, this is perfect, this is everything I could ever ask, and MORE (repost from the other thread!!!)
They're surely releasing a lot of the tracks before the actual release. This is 4 tracks already, more than in the A Thousand Suns cycle when I believe we got three ("The Catalyst", "Wretches and Kings" and "Waiting for the End"). Anyway, haven't heard "Wastelands" and not listening to this either.
"Rebellion" Is FUCKING Awesome!Rock Music Is Not Dead,They Are Bringing It Back To Life!! FUCK I LOVE MY LIFE
"Linkin Park sold out", "Linkin Park is dubstep shit", "Linkin Park is not heavy". These are but a few of the phrases that Rebellion just obliterated.
