The guy provided a download link in his YouTube comments. Is that not straight from the CD? Surely people would know how to rip shit by now....
No dude, this is track 6. Until It's Gone is track 7. That little drum section is the drums at the beggining of Until It's Gone, aka, the song leads right into UIG... Comeon, doesn't anyone have these tracks laid out with filler MP3s in their media player yet? <,< Am I the only one?
There is a download link in the comments, but it's not from the guy who uploaded the video (Tiago), but a guy named João.
Okay, that's the one I grabbed quick. I was just reading from some saying y'all still waiting on a proper version? I dunno.
I'm actually glad that I seem to be the only one who doesn't like it that much. It brings a tear of joy to see you all unified and not arguing about watching porn :')
Pretty cool song. Let's see, what the iTunes Version has to offer This live performance was also very nice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73MFVXyQxAc
Original audio would be flac file not an mp3 file but that is if Mike handed out CD copies that had original wav / flac file rips and not mp3s.
I think Once you put togheter the intros/outros of the songs Tadaaa You will obtain a new song I say this because the feeling or the vibe of both outros From uig and wstld sound the same concept And about the song if just say Beautiful
Guys, if we're to believe Linkin Park have an iTunes Countdown plan with Apple for The Hunting Party, could "Wastelands" be coming out on iTunes today? (June 1)
I must say although this isn't the best audio quality, if you listen to UIG in high quality right after the outro on this song it's hypnotic. The transitions between songs sound so cool and different. This album may end up being their best, listen I really love ATS but LP aren't Radiohead and it's the intensity they are capable of when they see fit to use it since 2000 that has always been so unique and powerful. Never imagined that LP would make another very intense/heavy sounding full length album but I can't wait for June 17th!!!
The download link in the comments is indeed of noticeably better quality. I also love the lead-in to Until It's Gone. That's gonna sound really good. One minor quibble, though: Is anyone else disappointed that the deep bass sound that was in the preview of the song (right after the drum intro but before the guitar) isn't in the studio version? I thought that sounded really cool.
Just grabbed it and it's sounds fairly good (not an audiophile ), now if we could get an "original" mp3 without YT compression I won't complain. I also wished WBR would enable the download for those who preordered.. Heh EDIT: Just played Wastelands with UIG and it segues perfectly.. Oh my this album is shaping good. I'm looking forward to see how it flows as a whole.
The guitar riff has been bothering me for quite a while, it reminded me of some song. Finally remembered it. It sounds a lot like Dead Star, by Muse.
