The newest of the bimonthly LPU 15 tracks has now been put up for download to LPU members.

In order to download it you need to have a LPU 15 membership. The song is free and can be downloaded here. If you wanna know the history and behind the scenes of the writing of this song, there was also a "Track-by-Track" uploaded along the track and that can be seen here.

After this there is only one more song from this years LPU to be released, and that will come in October.

Do you like the track? Do you think the wait for the next one now will be too long? Come and discuss in our forums.

Great track, especially compared to what happened with the last track. Wish it had vocals, but it's still good without them. Do we still have no Meteora demos (aside from finished songs) with lyrics?

    Wouldn't it be bi-monthly?

Don't think so, theres no sign of the piano present in the Making Of.
In fact in the Track by Track Mike mentions this being made all on his home studio setup, don't think this even made it past the Pre-Production stage

Nope. This just sounds like an early demo of "Shadow of the Day".

Fuck, I got so excited when I saw the year and hoped this would be the first original Meteora demo with vocals, but once again, nope. Jeez, I can't believe it's been 13 years and we still only have 3 demos of songs on the album with vocals.

Nice track. :) I like this kind of vibe, it sounds so good for me. I just love the combination between hip-hop drums, soft guitar riffs and some electronics. For me it's one of the best instrumental demo that Linkin Park have ever released.

Yep same, I love the vibe that this track gives off, it's very relaxing, sort of the opposite of a lot of Meteora era stuff.

Side note: I've noticed that all these bi-monthly LPU tracks share a similar "Date Modified" date, October 23, 2015. Guess they were all exported from ProTools well in advance.

Well all the "Track-by-Track" videos were recorded at the same time, so it's not like they're going through the archives two days before they release the track just hoping to find something good.

That one is nice and has a really chilly feeling. Feels more positive than the other sound out of this time.

Loved it, the Meteora era had a lot of great demos.

Even though I love Meteora, I think it had a lot more potential to be something more than essentially Hybrid Theory 2.
But coming off the massive hit that was Hybrid Theory, I imagine they felt pretty pressured to make the album the way it ended up.
I still enjoy listening to that album, and I'm glad there are still demos from that era being released to coexist with it.

It's really neat to hear all these demos from different eras to see how much has changed in the completed albums. I wish more music artists did this.

It's pretty chill, I like it. LP didn't go that route for Meteora though. :/

Considering Meteora recording/mixing was completely wrapped by January of 2003, if the 2003 date on this demo is correct it's probably something that was demoed after Meteora. Every other LPU demo from the Meteora period has been consistently dated to 2002.

Though it is pretty cool for an instrumental.
