According to German website 1Live, Chester Bennington has informed them that the next tour will be an experience we will never forget and that Linkin Park may actually play the whole of A Thousand Suns album, from first to last song. He says the band are yet undecided, but it could be a possibility.

"Also for those fans, who already have been to our concerts - and that's a lot in Germany – there will be something completely new this time. It’s supposed to be an event they’ll never forget. The album is really good and I hope, that people want to hear it live. Maybe we are playing the whole album then, from the first to the last song. But we haven’t definitely decided that, yet."

That sounds like a concept album....a journey....a new experience from Linkin Park

Well then this better be one fucking amazing album. But don't worry, they still will play a few singles...

It actually sounds more like Chester saying the songs are going to be so good that you'll want to hear us play every song so we'll just play it all in order...from the interview.

1.) Yea, this better be a damn good album for them to play the entire thing from start to finish with no songs in between.

2.) If they play some of the other singles as well, that would feel...weird. Play the entire ATS then throw in a few singles? It'd be a disconnect completely. Either just play ATS or mix it up like usual. Id hate for them to do all of ATS and then a few songs on the end cause "oh yea, about those singles..."

3.) I've been thinking all along that this is an outright concept album, this just makes my thoughts feel a little more sure.

Don't worry. Even if they play ATS in its entirety they'll definitely still play old favorites. And by favorites I mean singles.

Your right, it sure sounds that way. I am going to be disappointed if this isn't their best album yet. LP has simply given me VERY high expectations.

I'm betting on that, IF this is true. That's what MCR did on The Black Parade tour.

If they really think it's that good... then I'm completely down. Sounds like the other songs are gonna be child's play compared to this album.

This I disagree with. It would be fine! Just picture The Messanger fading away and LP leaves the stage for like 5-7 minutes. Everybody waits for an encore! You begin to wonder if they are done! Then you start hearing the epic intro of In The End. Your saying that wouldn't pump you up? The only problem with this is that they have too many songs that would make me sad to not be played.

They could do like Pink Floyd did on the live album P.u.l.s.e. They played a few songs at the start of the show, then they played the full Dark Side of the Moon album, and then a few songs after as an encore.

Damn that would be one long ass show!

I could see this holding true though. It makes more sense to when Mike said in a chat about only playing singles.

I'd rather this regardless of how the album turns out. I've heard their singles played a billion times already. I think its time to switch it up a bit next time they tour in terms of what they play.
I'm probably in the minority on this but I'm tired of OSC,ITE,Crawling,Numb,SOTD,LOATR being played lived. New material please.

Just playing ATS probably wouldn't make up an entire LP setlist, they usually play almost two hours... They could play the entire ATS album and then play two songs off each previous album... that would make it a 21-song setlist but it would still be awesome... and yeah they could play the entire ATS album in order and then do an extended encore with their older stuff
