What the fuck are you implying? 1 or 2 pages ago someone posted that ARTISTdirect also did a Burn It Down article.

Because a phrase being used in ONE SONG makes it more over-repeated than a word being repeated over AN ENTIRE ALBUM.

I wish they'd drop "lies". At this point in their career and with much more expertees in writing lyrics, "lies" is the last word I'd expect to see.

^I agree. The song names all sound very self-pitying =\

    -Victimized
    -Lies, Greed, Misery

I mean, I'm all ears for the album and I'm excited for it. But those sound like middle school angst.

I suppose it balances out considering ATS had impersonal titles (apart from WTCFM) cause it was a more global concept. Whereas this is a personal album, so it makes sense to me that they'd all be personal titles.

Indeed. The song titles on "A Thousand Suns" were, on the whole, much more ambiguous, but, as you've said, these new song titles seem to tie into the album's themes. There are still some fairly vague ones, though, like "Lost In The Echo" and "Castle Of Glass" - the latter is definitely one we wouldn't understand if various articles hadn't discussed the song's lyrical themes to give us a bit of context :)

"The band manages to harness that indie vulnerability moments before their heaviest track ever "VICTIMIZED"."

Maybe One Step Closer + With You + Crawling + A Place For My Head + By Myself + Forgotten + Faint + Lying From You + From The Inside + Hit The Floor + Figure.09 + Nobody's Listening + Bleed It Out + Given Up + No Moro Sorrow + When They Come For Me + Blackout + Wretches and Kings + QWERTY + Carousel + Part Of Me + Across The Line (the scream) + Blue (Demo) + Reading My Eyes + And One + Dedicated + Pale (Demo) = VICTIMIZED?

Sorry for the late reply to this thread, I was so excited yesterday when I read this that I passed out for 24 hours. JK. Seriously though, this review has got me EXTREMELY hyped for this album. MTM is my favorite LP album, and it seems like this album may take my new favorite LP album spot. VICTIMIZED sounds just as how I imagined it, hard rock with screaming and in your face style music. The rest of the songs sound fucking incredible too.

Awesome. Admittedly a bit over the top but oh well, he certainly raised my excitement levels a whole lot. :D

Lying From You, Figure.09, What I've Done, Robot Boy, Waiting for the End, Blackout, Iridescent, The Catalyst. Of the ones I remember and excluding the new ones coming.
Haha is not just one song Minus, so don't use the facepalm on me please. Let "something/someone" go was used at least once in every one of these songs, and half of the ATS songs contained it. That is why I grew a bit sick of it, as it was all in one place (even if I LOVE ATS).
A thing is to use a "word" multiple times, another is a "sentence" which implies a concept and so the whole lyrics might get a new sense through it.

To make it all worse, since I noticed the repetition on ATS I realized how over-used it is within all bands/singers, is ridicolous.

I am a superb NIN fan, and in fact one thing that bothers me is his unability to get a more positive direction in music at least ONCE in his career (would like to hear a love song from him, a bit more romantic than "We're in this Together" possibly, lol) and his INCREDIBLE over-repetition of certain sentences.

Ah, one other thing, Minus. If you can avoid to counter-spell me in future please, specially when your sarcasm is based on a wrong argument. I don't really care much of what you have to say since you jumped up from nowhere and called me a "fanboy" and to "fuck off" in one message months ago simply because I expressed in a monologue a disbelief in Justin Bieber. I had a lot of admiration for you and your humor till that day, since then I lost my whole respect for you.
