Hmmmmm. It's tough to say. I am glad it is gonna be the next single because i love the song but i really do feel sorry for mike and the band because they had no say in it. Don't stay would have been the better option i think
i'm happy that this is the new single, i feel sorry for mike, but maybe he chance his mind about BTH as a single, so i don't know, i think ths video will be great, i hope
For whatever reason they chose BTH as the next single, I don't think its right. Its too personal and shouldn't be put as a single.
Personally, im kinda pissed. I dont want the media ruining my favorite song by overplaying it. I dont want those non hardcore LP fans ruining it but being ignorant towards the song. I didnt really want anyone thats not an LP fan to hear it because its such a personal, non-media friendly song, ya kno. I like the fact that the video is gonna be made, but im not happy that it has a possibility of being played out. So yea, my feelings are mixed.
I think it was dumb. LP needs to stop releasing slower songs...release something heavy for christ's sake.
Nu metal damnit! As though there's no "Don't stay" or Figure.09 on Meteora. Even "Hit Th Floor" would be okay, even for a hip hop track...
Personally, I don't follow singles and stuff like that, so it doesn't matter. I just know my friend is really upset about it because it's a personal song for them as well. They don't want little kids singing it and messing the song's real meaning up just as much as I kind of don't like kids messing up 'From the Inside' for me. It's complicated I guess.
Well, if BTH was so personal, why'd they put it on the albumn? If non-LP fans shouldn't listen to it, then why should hardcore LP fans listen to it? I'm not dissing BTH, it's a great song and all, hell, I think it's one of LP's best. But when i read all your comments, it seems like only LP fans like it and should be the only ones allowed to listen to their personal tracks. Yes, the song might ruin a little of LP's background, but it's not how the song is or isn't "nu-metal" or "rock" or even "pop" that makes people listen to it, its the freshness and new styles LP is bringing out to the public that makes them listen to it. I've heard a lot of disses about LP being just a bunch of "no talent, screamers," and maybe this is just the song to disprove that. And even if the media disses the single or LP, it shouldn't affect true fans like us, because we know they're great. I agree with their decision on putting BTH as the next single. It really displays their capability and talent. and.. where did you guys hear that Mike and the rest of the group had no say in it? (i don't keep up with LPMB ) i was just wondering
I voted yes because it's my favorite track from Meteora, and perhaps all songs done by Linkin Park. I'm aware this song was very personal to Mike, as it took so long to write. But there was always the chance it could become a single for them when they added it to the CD.
