Any Aphex Twin fans in here? Makes a very nice difference to listening to LP and I find I appreciate each artist differently. Seriously give it a try if you havn't already Come To Daddy and Windowlicker videos not for the faint hearted. The Windowlicker video is incredible for its time, I think. And obviously his music was groundbreaking. Love that man almost as much as Trent.
Aphex Twin did some production for Nine Inch Nails; he contributed to a remix of "Mr. Self Destruct" and also created an original track called "At The Heart Of It All", both featured on the remix compilation, "Further Down The Spiral". Aside from those, I've only heard "Windowlicker" and "Come To Daddy".
Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is good as, get on that. Also get on Boards of Canada, but that's a different story.
It's not his music, but there's something about Richard James that I have a great deal of appreciation for. Maybe it's his insanely fucked up videos.
