or Sick Puppies? I'm seeing them on October 27th and want to know what to expect. Are they good live? Do they suck? Reviews plz.
It's not really discussing an artists music, just a live show, but if I guess you want it there then go ahead
Derek has seen Evanescence live. If he doesn't see this thread, you should PM or IM him. ...and I'm going to move this to Other Music.
They are a great live band. I've seen them twice (once in 2004 and once this year) and both times they didn't disappoint. I haven't seen Sick Puppies though. Julien-K should be at your show as well and they put on a hell of a live show too.
If The Open Door was anything I was expecting it to be I'd be jealous because Julien-K and Sick Puppies are two of my favorite bands right now. Unfortunatly this isn't the case.
Even though I've kinda lost interest in Evanescence, if you are a fan of their music I can tell you that they are an absolutely incredible live band. Amy doesn't miss a beat and she can seriously move you with some of the notes she hits live. I don't think you'll be at all disappointed.
I met them at PR, they are seriously the most down-to-earth fun band to meet and I've met my fair share of bands. They were definitely one of my favorites.
They're an excellent live band. I was fortunate enough to see them for free when their debut Fallen was just coming out, and that show was what made me a fan of the band.
i was one of a few thousand people to see their last show with ben moody before he left the band (while still being on tour). even though it was during the "fallen"-era, they were incredible live. and judging from the things derek said they got even better so you shouldnt have any worries to go there . the only thing that i really hated about them are their fans. i dont know how that changed today but at the show i went to, there were honestly 7 people having fun (means, being in a pit) the rest (containing of little crying girls, bored parents and some people in between) just stood there with their hands waving (god i hate this). to come to a verdict: you will get well entertained from the band but you might be disappointed from their fans if you like moshing and jumping and all this stuff.
I saw them [Evanescence] in a club here. Amy was great, full of energy and emotion. The band was great. Songs were sung from both albums. It's definitely a performance not to be missed, I'm sure you'll enjoy it =].
I personally don't like Evanescence really, but that's just me. I haven't ever even heard a song from Sick Puppies, so I don't know how they are. Julien-K kills it live though man.
I've seen both. The current lineup and the lineup with Ben Moody and there hasn't been much change in their live show.
I'm not really a big fan of Evanescence, but they are a very good live band (from what I've seen). I think you'll enjoy them.
Right so Evanescence was alright. My Immortal and Missing were good. She was decent. Sick Puppies fucking were AMAZING. What a good show, holy shit they were awesome. Julien-K ruled. I love them <3
You seem to be implying that you've never seen the "free hugs" video on youtube. I think that must be a first, although i live in australia and everyone has seen it there so i'm probably wrong.
