I saw em live and they were pretty good. Though I haven't really listened to them in the past few months. The vocals are kind of annoying and the guitar solos are lame.
It's really easy to take the piss out of them, but I quite like A7X. I didn't like the self-titled, and I still believe Synyster Gates is overrated, but as a band they're pretty decent. Waking the Fallen is still one of my favourite albums.
I like their recent stuff a lot, like their last album and City of Evil. Strength of the World has one of the best song intros ever.

I loved 'Waking the Fallen'. And it's funny because outside of that I really can't stand A7X, at all.
I... really dislike them like alot i like the instruments but i cant stand the singer idk why but i just dont =/
They make catchy, popular watered down "metalcore" that is obviously influenced by Arena rock. I don't see much wrong with it, it's obvious. To say they can't play their instruments is ridiculous, esspecially when you're name is Fat Mike.
He didn't say that. He said they use a DAT tape, which isn't necessarily wrong. It's Fat Mike anyway. The whole point of that remark was to work people up, and he got it. I actually don't dislike them, I just figured I'd post those links because it would probably only have been a matter of time before someone posted at least one of them. Whichever DEP member made that blog post owned them completely though. Tim McTague's remarks about them weren't always on target but I have more respect for him as a musician than I do for any A7X member. They're pretty decent but as technical players they are about as overrated as they come. But yeah, as far as their music is concerned I do like listening to them from time to time.
True, but still, it seems to me it's more of an issue of political views, anyways. Their nicknames and outfits are obviously ridiculous, I don't think anyone takes that seriously. I liked City of Evil, but I think their last album was shit, though.
I know it's their 'poppiest' song, but I'm gonna say it anyway: Seize The Day is one of the single greatest songs ever written. IMO of course. I like them, but they just annoy me sometimes. My brother hero worships them which is frustrating.
So, he doesn't like their political views. It's not as if he wouldn't have any reason to, and the impression I get is that it's not as though A7X's opinions hold any water anyway.
