What do you guys think of this album? now that it has leaked

I would say its more upbeat than "We Don't Need To Whisper"
and a lot of great songs on it like Secret Crowds, Everything's Magic, Sirens, Rite of Spring, and Call to arms

im a Fan of B182, +44 and AvA equally and if you really take time and listen to Tom's AvA stuff it really is great

i would say its better than the first album

I didn't like the 5 track preview. I'll check out the album, but I've never been impressed with Angels and Airwaves. It seems like it could be just as spectacular as Tom loves to hype it up to be, but it ends up sounding like slightly-below-average filler songs.

Tom needs the ability to actually back up his own hype.

If Rites of Spring actually did justice to its name, I'd enjoy it more

In all seriousness, It's not terrible but it's not great either. I think it's better than their first CD but I still won't be listening to it for over a week, if I even listen to it for that long.

Someone pointed out something I find curious.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNf9v153ETg

They suggested that the song Mark and Tom play on acoustic just after the porno music sounds like the guitars in the verses of Rites Of Spring.

I can't really give you my opinion 'cause I haven't listened to the new album yet. Not due to wanting to wait for the CD to be released, but because I'm not really excited for the CD at all and am therefore in no rush to listen to it.

I prefer the debut a little bit, but this one's good, too. It's more lighter songs. Some great ones, though, like "Secret Crowds."

I checked out the 5 track preview a while back, and I cringed and had to change a couple of the songs within 10 seconds.

Well, I finally listened to the album this morning and I have to say that I think it was terrible. Sounded like the same song over and over and over with different badly pronounced words in each one.

    What a disappointment...

I don't really think that's true that there are many AvA haters around, most of the people in this thread gave the album a listen, which in my book shows they were actually slightly interested (although of course this is probably for the reason that blink are a huge band).

I think that most people would like blink more than +44 and AvA for obvious reasons i cannot seem to put into words.

'Cos blink songs had riffs? And hook lines? And cool drum beats?

And AVA doesn't seem to have anything?

 My reasoning was pretty much because the things you mentioned (along with other things) make them very likeable.

Trust me, it isn't variety. I listen to a TON of different music, ranging from Jazz and Classical to Hip Hop/Rap to Rock to Heavy Metal to Country to Techno. It's not variety.

AvA just does absolutely nothing to impress me. They don't stand out in any way at all and don't do anything to make themselves stand out, despite what Tom's deluded view of the world/the band is.

i would also but if you think about how tom is now

Blink wouldn't Be the same i don't think Tom could go back writing songs in that style, Mark very easily cause +44 sounds exactly like Blink 182 style to me with a bit of seasoning
