How many of you would like to see the band do an "Unplugged" concert? Why or why not? I personally would love to see it. Bands like Korn, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Staind, and Stone Temple Pilots have done it and they're amazing. I would love to see some of LP's best songs be converted to acoustic versions. Thoughts? I'm surprised no one has asked the band this yet. I think it's time.
I've always thought this would be a great idea, one of my favourite unplugged shows is STP's one, it'd be nice to see them do another with Chester, or better yet, an LP one. I'm not sure which songs I'd like to see them do though, it'd be hard to pick.
I could really only see songs Post-Meteora work good acoustic. Songs like Castle of Glass, Powerless, The Little Things Give You Away, In Pieces, The Messenger, and Three Band Terror would work well for an Unplugged show. Songs like Papercut just wouldn't work IMO. I would seriously love to see an unplugged version of A Place For My Head though. It has the potential to be really freaking cool. And like travz21 said, you would hear Chester real well. His performance of The Messenger Live in Madrid takes my breath away every time. Also, his cover of Rolling in the Deep is sooooo damn good!
Awesome unplugged set: 1) Burning in the Skies 2) Castle of Glass 3) Breaking The Habit 4) Pushing Me Away 5) Leave Out All The Rest 6) The Little Things Give You Away
The band does so many things with their fans: Live chats, meet and greets. I think as an LP fan for me right now, besides a 6th studio album, what would make me more happy would be an acoustic album and Carousel/Part of Me live. I think if we begged enough for either of them we would eventually get them. I mean, for years on LPU all we got were live tracks. We bitched and moaned for demos and now we get hem.
If Korn do unplugged LP can do unplugged of he early stuff, Breaking the Habit and Pushing me Away would work great anyhow.
I would love an unplugged concert. LT has some potentially good songs to choose from with IMR, IBG, COG, RU, STB, Three Band Terror, and PWRLS. And of course MTM and ATS have great choices as well.
While I'm not a huge fan of acoustic music, I am all for taking certain songs and making acoustic versions of them. A discography as vast as LP's would no doubt benefit from acoustic versions of either smash hits (singles) or even songs that may be relatively unknown outside the fanbase (i. e. the Hybrid Theory EP).
This would be a perfect oportunity to bring real cellos to a Crawling performance, although there are synthetized elements on KRWLNG I know it can be worked around perfectly into a full unplugged version.
They've done Crawling, In the End, and Pushing Me Away acoustic before. I think Papercut would actually translate very well acoustic, and other songs from Hybrid Theory/Meteora that would probably work would be Points of Authority, Somewhere I Belong, Easier to Run, Breaking the Habit, Numb...hell, I think they could pull off a really cool tribal acoustic version of Nobody's Listening if they wanted to. Basically anything without screaming is fair game. The band actually HAS been asked about this before though, and they've never shown any interest in it. There was even an official MTV Europe poll of bands people would like to see do an Unplugged a few years ago that LP won (by a large margin, if I recall correctly), but it never amounted to anything.
I'd love acoustic versions of Fallout/The Catalyst, Castle of Glass, The Little Things Give You Away, and Robot Boy.
