Personally I'm kinda hoping this new album is a bit harder than the previous two. Fallen was definitely mainstream and TOD was very dark. But back to my first thought, I think it'd be nice to see Amy show that a female fronted rock band can be very hard rock, and What You Want kinda gives me a vibe that this new album seriously has that potential. But I'm curious to listen to it no matter and excited about them coming back out again.
Cat, you should see Evanescence live. Their music is a LOT harder live then on record. Really makes an impact when you see them .
I have seen them live. Which is why I say this and hopefully they'll tour somewhere near me so I can see them at a better venue this time, but even despite the crappy location last time, the show was still awesome. Chills. I got chills from it.
So far between What You Want and this clip, this album is going to sound very generic. I'm not optimistic.
If The Open Door taught me anything it's that a small sample size is hardly enough to pass judgement.
Evanescence's new album cover looks completely unoriginal and is very similar to Within Temptation's. That's my point.
It's like they used a program called ALBUM COVER MAKER. The music production sounds like it was made with ROCK ALBUM MAKER. I can't say any of it sounds bad, but it's just disappointing that I don't hear anything that stands out besides Amy, and I don't even like this band (not even Origin). Funny enough, I'll probably check out the album in hopes to find something I like
I don't see the similarity either Derek. There are loads of album covers that look like those two. No big deal.
i hate the studio version of what you want. live it has potential. i didn't really like the open door. but i really like fallen. i was hoping this new album would be like ats in that it was something completely different, but so far it's not what i wanted. still curious to see what's in store though.
