So, I just found out that the person I wrote this for left me for another guy immediately after the breakup. We broke up 8 months ago after 2 years, and I never knew about this new information. I don't know what to think... the reality is that you can't change people for who they are all you can say in the end is.. "damn you". When I turn 70, I'm gonna look back on this song and say to myself, "I remember when I was hurt." It will be an eerie thought. Thanks to anyone that gave it time to listen.
