Hmm...well a year ago I was into mostly nu-metal/popgrunge but my playlist over the past few months has been gravitating toward punk...I've also started developing interests in industrial and hardcore...My current playlists has multible songs by the US Bombs, AFI, Joe Strummer, Blondie, Hole, The Distillers, Scarling, The HorrorPops, The Sex Pistols, Rancid, Nine Inch Nails, and All Bets Off. And yes, I like some pop-punk. But I'll try out anything if enough people (who's musical tastes I respect) tell me it's good
Lately, I've been getting into a lottt of hardcore (mostly metalcore). I guess that ties in with my love for metal (preferably heavy progressive metal).
Progressive Metal ie. Dream Theater, Symphony X, Pain of Salvation, Opeth...also Tool can be put in that category
Hard Rock, Nü Metal, Metal, Screamo-Punk (not the pop-punk stuff, stuff like Thrice and Finch), Alt-Metal
I'll do it this way. I'll list the genre(s) I listen to, and then my favorite band out of that genre. Goth Metal - Lacuna Coil Melodic Death Metal - In Flames Atmospheric/Ambient/Progressive Metal - Tool Industrial - Error Epic Metal - Dream Theatre (Yeah Yeah, I know it's 'Progressive', but Epic = telling an epic tale, and the Dream Theatre songs I've heard have been long & epic. ) Thrash - Metallica American Power Metal - Tie between Shadows Fall & Killswitch Engage I'm a metal subgenre man, incase you can't tell.
i like all three but not much of alternative. it gets kinda boring. my playlists right now are mostly consisting of the distillers ((of course)) ond otep
i guess i like somthing between nu metal and heavy metal and maybe a little regular emo in there somtimes
Right there, I'm with ya all the way. B) Up until a few months ago, I went through this phase of liking all kinds of hardcore and metal, but now I've completely 'switched over.'
