^Good list. I feel the need to update my Top Ten, but since I'm fucking lazy, I'll just list the two albums I would have added, and one that would have come in at 11. George Clanton - 100% Electronica [thumb]https://f1.bcbits.com/img/a1506352382_10.jpg[/thumb] Since Electronic music is a genre I'm ultimately unfamiliar with, describing the sound of this record would be a bit tough for me. From my understanding though, this can be classified as synthwave and/or vaporwave? Anyway, it very reminiscent of 80s Electronic music, and is awash with gorgeous synths. The vocals reminded me something that you would here on a Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, or The Cure record. The vocals might take a bit to get used to if that's not quite your thing, but it's totally worth it. You can pick up the album for free on bandcamp. Highlights: Bleed Did I Flounder? It Makes the Babies Want to Cry Batushka - Litourgiya [thumb]https://f1.bcbits.com/img/a3867014692_10.jpg[/thumb] Now here's a debut album that came completely out of left field. These guys are a Polish Black Metal band that incorporates Slavonic Chanting into their music, and it's cool as hell. Along with that, their music is just energetic as hell. This wouldn't have taken down Panopticon's Autumn Eternal as my favorite Black Metal album of the year if I would have made my list later, but it would have come damn close. The album creates an atmosphere that's incredible. Highlights: Yekteniya 1 Yekteniya 2 Yekteniya 4 Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah - Stretch Music [thumb]https://f1.bcbits.com/img/a3749898540_10.jpg[/thumb] This is the one I mentioned that would have been #11, another fantastic Jazz record of 2015. It's not nearly as ambitious as Kamasi Washington's The Epic, not by any means, buit it's still an incredibly enjoyable record. Scott is a fantastic trumpet player, the production is fantastic, and what I really love is how the sounds on this record are so varied. There's even a song with a Trap beat on one song. If you like Jazz players like Miles Davis, check out this album. Highlights: Sunrise in Beijing Perspectives West of the West Tantric

Gotta say, that album turned me (again) into a big fan of the band too! I had had their first record for a while though, but I hadn't listened to them in ages. But shit, The Mindsweep, this was a great release. Still not having my own photoshoot pic with the band though
