ADEMA is: MARKchavez - vocals MIKEransom - guitar TIMfluckey - guitar DAVEderoo - bass KRISkohls - drums I've been looking forward to this album ever since I heard "Immortal," a song featured on the soundtrack of the game Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. A lot of bands have been maturing a lot, and their sophomore albums have been showing it; Taproot with Welcome, Disturbed with Believe and Linkin Park with Meteora. ADEMA is no exception, as Unstable is both a step up and a step down from their self-titled debut. Unstable is more melodic yet mellower than the self-titled LP, but it's a little too repetitive. Mark could have done a LOT better with the lyrics of this album. Since the album has yet to come out officially, I'll just leave brief comments on the songs so I don't spoil too much for those of you waiting for August 19th, the day the album drops. --- 01. Co-Dependent — 9/10 Easily my favorite. Great vocals. 02. Rip The Heart Out — 8/10 A little too repetitive for me. 03. Stand Up — 10/10 One of ADEMA's best songs. 04. Unstable — 10/10 The first single, it's going to be good. 05. Promises — 8/10 Not too bad. One of the mellower songs. 06. Blame Me — 9/10 Another of the mellower songs. Could be called "Trust Pt. 2." 07. So Fortunate — 10/10 Easily ADEMA's best song ever. 08. Stressin' — 7/10 A little too repetitive. Heavy, but repetitve. 09. Do You Hear Me — 8/10 A nice mellower song; seems like a prayer to God. 10. Let Go — 6/10 The worst song on the disc. Hey, every CD's got to have one. 11. Betray — 10/10 One of the best songs on the disc. I love the vocals. 12. Needles — 9/10 Probably ADEMA's heaviest song. Awesome vocals. --- Final Score: 8.6/10 Like I said, it's a step up and a step down from ADEMA, but it's definitely one of the best albums of 2003 thus far. Keep rockin', ADEMA.
Piracy!!! You hear that RIAA?! PIRACY!!! Muahahaha... :chemist:. Yeah... I can't wait to see the full album art and what else they have planned for thier fans as well .
I think Adema is a very good live band but most of their lyrics are pretty..eh..I dunno..basic, I guess. I'll probably pick up the new album anyway.
It's not that I already have the album on computer, I just think I won't listen to it that much. Plus I'm $658 in the hole. The songs on the album just make me depressed and don't really do much for me besides that.
Adema's first album, Adema, absolutly kills Unstable in my opinion. Adema had a lot more 'many-listen-songs' then Unstable has. Stand Up, Blame Me, and Let Go are the best songs on Unstable though.
I liked Unstable alot, but Adema is my favorite of the two albums by a small margin. That's where I'll stop comparing. Songs like Co-Dependant, So Fortunate and Betray are amazing songs off this album, Co-Dependant and Betray are hard hitting songs while So Fortunate is a slower more mellow track. I think Mark Chavez was lacking in the department of writing for a few songs though, for example in "Stand Up" where he says "this relationship is whack". Overall Unstable is a very good sophmore effort from Adema.
I haven't decided on if I'm gonna buy this album, but it is very good, my favorite song is probably Co-Dependant or Stand Up.
Yeah, Immortal is really kool. I'll download the songs that Will gave it a 10. And if I like them all I might end up buying it.
i'm not sure if i'll buy the album yet, i might. but Co-Dependent is my favorite track off of Unstable of all that i've heard so far.
