An article posted on Radio.com today made reference to some comments Steve Aoki made earlier this month at Lollapalooza 2013 about what the rest of his year looked like, in which he made some rather intriguing remarks: The first part is something we're all now aware of: that band was Linkin Park. But the bolded part suggests that Linkin Park & Steve Aoki's collaborative relationship goes beyond the song "A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES", which is destined to be revealed in-full when the band's new Facebook game, LP RECHARGE, is released. The nature of this collaboration, whether this new music will be released, and through which mediums it may be released in the future, are all as of yet unknown. We will keep you posted on any developments in this story. Source: Radio.com via jare0674
Could it be a collaboration EP? Maybe there's more than one song to unlock in LPRecharge? Interesting news, looking forward to further details.
Definitely intrigued, let's see if LP says something in interviews they may have done in Asia the past few days.
In all likelihood they'll treat it like Blackbirds and make you finish the game before unlocking the full thing.
I think that he meant that they worked on five demo tracks and ended up finishing ALTNC only. I'd love to hear more finished tracks though.
This is what a brother with nothing better to do is for. Maybe one of these ends up on The Mall OST. Just because it's Steve Aoki dosen't mean it has to be dancey/poppy.
Interesting. Could easily be a collaboration EP or just a set of demos. Wouldn't mind the former, as long as it's good.
I find it funny that a person who chose their username as a DJ only track would be so against this idea.
Or even better, is shitting on the idea of further music collaborations, without hearing said collaborations. Bit presumptive i think lol.
A five track EP? I'd certainly love to hear some more new stuff but I don't know if that's gonna turn out as shitty as Collision Course. I hope not. I guess he just doesn't like Steve Aoki. I bet there are musicians you'd rather don't want LP to work with too.
Shinoda most likely won't be outclassed in the rapping department on this possible Steve Aoki collaboration EP if he's the only one rapping, though.
