okay, i have a panasonic digital video camera. i have lots of tapes or videos, but i just don't know how to upload those videos on the computer. i desperately need help. the videos aren't on the cameras card, but on the tape. please help.
i dont know EXACTLY but my friend has something similar, where he has to hook it up to his computer by a certain cable and use some program to record what the camera is playing so it can be saved onto a video file on the computer..again maybe someone with more specific knowledge will reply
yeah we have a bunch of those kinds of tapes from a camcorder, but I'm not sure how to take video from the tape to the computer. the thing Roxas mentioned about recording what the video camera is displaying sounds most logical. you couldn't do it by just connecting the camera to the computer via firewire, could you? no, that wouldn't transfer/read the video...
he told me that he uses the program imagemixer 1.50 sony. for his camera to record what the camera is playing and he used a standard USB 2.0 cable to connect , but i guess it really depends on your camera if it has a USB port and such
i wonder if Sony Vegas can do that .....**opening up vegas** WOO HOO Sony Vegas 7 has DV capture feature also EDIT: i just realised i dont have the right cable for my camera, il need a 3 or 2 colored cable and the end a USB into computer, i have one but the USB side is meant to go into something else, not go into a computer
ok...i really need help. i tried all that shit with DV studio and the usb...but it's not uploading the whole video, it's just capturing images off the video... HELP!
did you try VirtualDub? you connect the DV, go to capture mode, set a file for it to save it to, and start playing the video on the DV, and it'll show up on screen (as long as you've selected your input source). while its playing, you click "start capture".
