I was so impressed after listening to the abum i went and preordered it. Im so stoked for Linkin Park, i hope we hear more of this sound on the 5th album.

Blackout is the best song on it imo. The end part sells it for me. This album was made for live preformances. I hope they play it from start to finish. Iridecent will be chanted like an antham in live preformances by the band and the crowd.
The Messenger is going to be very interesting live. Maybe they can do a 15 min acustic encore. Pushing me away, my december and The Messenger.

I think When They Come for Me sounds VERY similar to "Cinderella Man" by Eminem. Anyone else see the comparison?

I can kinda tell what you mean, but When They Come For Me has more of a Donkey Kong-ish beat to it in my opinion.

When They Come for Me is becoming more and more and more and more and FUCKING more amazing at every listen. The fact he might be singing about HT fantatic people is genial haha.

You stole those words out of my head. There were a couple of times where I was ready for the big choruses I'm so used to LP giving us and was kinda surprised when it didn't. I almost felt silly at times. lol

The thing I don't get is how anyone can say that this album sounds "too experimental" or that the songs are too different from each other. This album is like a completed puzzle. Listening to it out of order is trying to jam the puzzle piece into the wrong place.

In my opinion this is how I would describe each of Linkin Park's albums.

HT: A collection of very good, emotional songs
Reanimation: Best remix album I've ever heard
Meteora: A collection of catchy songs that tried to recreate the magic of HT but lacked the soul of HT
Minutes to Midnight: A sometimes choppy collection of good and bad songs
A Thousand Suns: Truly an album. LP's best work. Best album of 2010

Yes, this is after just one listen.

Anyone else in total love with Burning In The Skies?

There's quite a few great songs, but that one just stands out for me. I love it!

Haha yeah I wasn't saying they were duplicates. Just a lot of similarities.

It's also interesting to note that MY DAD likes this album. He's a fan of all the songs except Wretches and Kings and The Messanger. He's an indie rock/alt rock fan. If other fans like him hear this, LP's fan base will get a lot of new listeners.

    well

I wouldnt jump and say its the best album, lets be realistic here Meteora and HT are by far the best solid play every single song albums around. But the album is solid, my major complaint is the first two tracks are a big waste, at most should have been one. There are not enough songs on this album for as long as we waited. It is a step up from M2M to me, there will be no tracks on this one that I skip over where M2M I pretty much listened to only half the album.

Some big surprises and styles here, this sounds to me like what M2M was supposed to be. AND I HATE TO SAY IT but it seems like many of you are just repeating what Chester and Mike said about the album in there interview. I have never really found a journey in any LP album and dont in this one either. This is however a more well rounded SHORT ASS album

I completely disagree. This is the only album by LP that I've had to FINISH the album because starting and stopping and/or putting it on shuffle feels WRONG.

Easily their best album ever. Hands down.

Playing through it now, when I got done listing to "When they Come to Me", it made me wonder.. did Chester's part at the end remind anyone else of the ending of "Hey Jude" by the Beatles?

I'm now on Blackout and am really enjoying everything I've heard so far, definitely looking forward to the real deal coming in the mail; really looking forward to seeing the DVD now :)
